Beautiful car! Insane that is available to order (mostly stock). I love LAGUNA SECA. The S curve with the downhill stretch is so much fun. It must have been great to drive it! I'm so jealous.
its been around forever - used to go there and see the Old VETTES race with Greg Pickett and Danny Ongais - was soo fun but actually never raced - now I regret that
Yeah , but it’s rare somebody’s gonna push the car to those limits. And even if they do, there are aftermarket support with really big brake kits and bigger radiator /coolers. No such support exist for Hyundai. And Hyundai is fundamentally screwed from the factory. It comes with cheap ass McPherson strut suspension. Not race car type double wishbone front and five link multi rear on the Tesla. So you’re basically screwed with the Hyundai. Unless you bust out the welder and fabricate a new sub frame and suspension from scratch, which is beyond practical . At least with Tesla, you can go online , and in a few clicks you can have carbon ceramic brakes and a massive battery cooler radiator. Also the cherry on top of the shit pie is the Hyundai is 4800 pounds versus only 4000 pounds for the Tesla performance. Again, you’re screwed from the factory. What are you gonna do ? trim 800 pounds of weight off the Hyundai. it’s hard to know these facts unless you actually work on both cars which I have . Don’t trust all the bullshit you see on RUclips or whatever. I assume Hyundai passed out free cars to influencers to make propaganda videos to convince you that that tank minivan is somehow better than a Tesla M3P. Most people are clueless and mechanically illiterate and just regurgitate what someone else told them so hard to know the truth .

I did a track day in Australia last week, No track mode data either, however after I formatted the USB in the car, a track mode folder appeared. Maybe they just insert a stick into the car and not format it in the car before handover?
It's a pretty good in a lot of ways. I'd recommend test driving one. The factory active dampers are pretty good for street use and comfortable. The next update for the car will make track driving better
@@jeffufcfanaticrosenberg Sure tires could have played a small role in it, but the state of charge isn't as big of a deal as the temp of the battery. If you take a hot battery at 100% versus a cold battery at 70%, the cold battery will win every time.
Depends if they have a power adder or not. From personal experience I can tell you that supercharged vehicles do experience a drop off. The increased IAT2 temps cause a decrease in timing which creates a decrease in power. Methanol injection and nitrous can really help with this however.
ICE cars do not have drop off of performance anywhere near electric cars! I tracked my 2021 M3comp all day at Laguna Seca and didn't notice power drop!

the lack of improved cooling is such a bummer...

Tire PRESSURES are nuts ! 52 PSI is crazy
not 52psi, they were 34 cold. 42-44 hot
Disapointing the battery and brakes over heat within 4 or 5 minutes. Ionic 5 N and other manufactures dont seem to have this issue like Tesla.

The concern with formatting in the car is that you will lose any existing data or footage on the stick from sentry mode etc.

WOW - what a huge difference in LAP TIMES ! 139 vs 155 - cause SOC dropped guessing !😥
Not the SoC but the battery temp / brake temps. The stock brakes on the m3p are complete garbage.
