I watched Treasure Planet as a 10 year old kid. Marketing wise it was marketed ok the solar surfing scene was used as the main marketing. Jim Hawkins had Aladdin potential. Pacing for me worked. Competition killed this film I also watched the Chamber of Secrets people were dug in Potter mania. Two Towers speaks for itself. I would say the first 4 films of the 2000s were a mixed bag. Home on the Range in 2004 really nixed Disney's 2D animation
The animation IS SO GOOD 😭😭😭😭😭 I want to watch this. Well, looks like I just spoiled the plot 😂 but it is the same plot as Treasure Island, which I have read, so 🤷♀️.
I did not see it, but time to see it ill be back with a editen comment I would watch it but i lack paitaince anyway im gonna go watch the princess and the frog for the 66391528268263836377282762nd time
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I couldn't stop laughing at the call-out for the fangirls. LOL. I've never seen this movie, though I have heard of it here and there. From the review, it sounds a lot like a re-make of Teasure Island, but with a twist. Which is funny because I literally just watched the Treasure Island movie last night, lol. It sounds interesting at least, but really, with LotR coming out, it's not a surprise that it was hugely overshadowed. 😂😂
You are pretty spot on about the main draw of the film being the relationship between Jim and Silvers. I'd say all of your criticisms are valid too (although I don't mind Ben). Jim, Silvers and the animation out weighs the flaws for me. I will watch your career with great interest, subbed.
I will push back on one thing. One of the most agreed upon ideas by fans of the movie, is that Disney swept the movie under the rug before release, with little in the way of actual marketing, and that's why it failed.
This video would impove by having some kind of summary up front to explain the plot of the movie. I really enjoyed the video however. You habe a nice voice to listen to and you make great points.
I still really like B.E.N. and The Gargoyles. But than again i cannot stand Tigger from American Tail Pinky Pie from MLP FIM and Olaf from Frozen so what do i know.
I've never seen Treasure Planet (and I kind of forget it even exists to be honest), but yes, why on earth can't we have more non verbal comunication or great character interactions in animated films? The majority of what Disney does now is just fill in all the gaps with dumb jokes, and make all the characters just say everything they're thinking.

It is like the sci-fi parody of Treasure Island. 😂 that is actually what it is 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yeah, its a sci-fi adaptation of Treasure Island!
@@Adwing_Aerwiar Fun Fact: This is the most expensive hand drawn film ever made.

Good job! And good points.
Great review! I've only seen the movie once and just thought it was okay, but the points you bring up make me want to watch it again 😂
