Megan's label didn't want the remix to happen because they wouldn't have any benefits with it since BTS would only accept the money to go to Megan, so they said that "it wouldn't be good for her" probably there some xenophobia there too but anyways, the boys fought together with her in court since June not letting go of her hand, and I'm so proud of them for it!! They're amazing and I'm really happy that this masterpiece could be out for us to appreciate!! 💗💜

Actually it was because that label wasn't making going to make any money off the collab, so they wanted her to pay them $100,000 in order to release it. But she got a Temporary restraining order and was able to release it according to the court. Her label has tried to block her from releasing music before.
I really love how Megan & Suga rapped together & Megan's laugh after RM's "Got ARMY right behind us when we say so" is so satisfying!

Megan's label actually don't want it to come out because they said that it's just going to ruined Megan's career, but the actual reason they don't want it to come out is because they want to benefit something from this collab, they asked BTS' legal team and Bighit to give them $100k before they agree to release which I think BTS members didn't liked because they want the money/royalty to go straight to Megan's pocket and her label didn't want that, and BTS’ legal team and Bighit has been contacting Megan's label for 2 months just to get the approval for the release of the Butter remix and Megan file a temporary restraining order to her label a just for this remix to be released...

I don't mean it in a negative way but I love both sides of Meghan and BTS that I just don't understand why would Meghan's company would do that..
BTS are the unspoken heros. They managed to get Megan all the royalties even tho the label was trying to leech off of her.
They did the same thing for Jawsh too! Jason Derulo didn't actually give any royalties to Jawsh 685 for the Savage love beat. But they got him all the royalties for the Bts remix version of the song :) warms my heart.

Ok to begin, Megan has already been having past issues with her label for some time.
But what Megan & BTS wanted to initially do a feature switch.
1 BTS song featuring Megan & 1 Megan song featuring BTS.
But her label said it would “ruin her image” & then proceeded to asked for a $100,000 advance for the 1 feature (only Butter remix) as collateral. And denying the 1 Megan featuring BTS.
Megan, BTS & BH found it outrageous, that Megan’s label asked for $100,000 to go to her label not to Megan herself.
Megan, BTS & Big Hit wanted Megan to get the royalties she deserves.
With Megan, BTS & Big Hit denying her labels so called “$100,000 deal” her label then tried to stop the Collab all together.
Megan filed a law suit & the judge sided in her favor to release the collab but in return Megan had to put in the $100,000 as collateral (Basically if the song proves her label wrong & is profitable & brings her benefits she gets her $100,000 back) (but if the song does bad her label gets the $100,000)
So she is trusting her gut and trusting the song will do amazing.
So will bts be featured in megan’s song?another song? Is it really going to happen ?

Because on top of the feature switch there was supposed to be a MV with the butter remix & BH ended up releasing a lyric MV instead.
I think her label made it difficult to follow what Megan & BTS originally had planned.
So we will have to see how it plays out in the next couple weeks/months.

The Bangtans love to collaborate to people who appreciate them as artists not for the sake of more audience. They don’t care of the charts in the west anymore they just love to create and perform their music to the fans. This is one good collaboration it gave both fandoms enjoyment. 💜

I hope you hear it more with earphones and stuff so you hear her ad-libs because i feel like you guys missed, but yeah i love her rap and how she added ad-libs and harmonize with yoongi's part... Like, i didn't feel this this proud and happy with a feat of them in a long while!! Hope that they can have the opportunity to perform together because i think everyone needs it!!!
If they listen to it on Spotify it would be clearer. RUclips tends to dull the quality of songs so the lyrics or adlibs can't really be heard.

The part where it transitions from Megan to Jimin is the best for me , it’s an interesting transition and very captivating. Incredible vocals. I’m so impressed with Jimin’s vocals.
ICYMI during Yoongi’s part, Megan was harmonizing with him, hence the color yellow and pink were mixed on the video.
BTS were invited to be The Chainsmokers special guest at their concert in south korea in 2017 (it was just before LY:Her was released which has Best Of Me on it, which is their collab).
They were on stage for Closer and sang a few harmonies as well as addressing the crowd, if I remember correctly? ☺

Also, it's a legal battle w meg's agency because she wasnt allowed to release the song unless she pays $100k to which that's just Jhope's watch or Suga's ring at this pt but bighit and bts have this practice wherein they usually give their featured artist majority if not all of the profits due to the other party leaving nothing for the feat. the reason i love this collab is that apart from a full rap verse, her adlibs throughout the song as well as her singing/rapping/harmonising with the members makes this feel like it's THEIR (bts and meg) song and not like just a feature. i loved it!

Megan's label 1501 is actual shite and this isn't the first time they have blocked her music to be released. With bts, they said this decision would harm her career lol. But it was evidently because bighit music wanted megan to have the 100k from the deal not their label. Its also a swap deal so bts will feature in one of megan's songs in the future.
Fans were fuming that all this was over "just" 100k, so they raised 100k for charity in 1 day in megan's name. She noticed it and it was wholesome💜

Okay BTS contacted Megan for the collab. Megan and her management approved of it and she starts recording and sends it to BTS. BTS approved. But Megan's label (different from her management) was interfering saying she can't release it.
Megan's management Roc Nation (owned by Jay z) believes that this is good for Megan so they tried negotiating with 1501 to stop interfering because they claim it's not good for Megan's career. Megan's legal team along with BTS legal team tried to negotiate with 1501. But 1501 won't cooperate unless there are paid $100,000 (they literally did nothing why will they get money? lmao).
Megan asked for an emergency hearing cos the schedule for Butter release is nearing. The court allowed Megan to release it but under a TRO bond. So if it flops, 1501 gets the money.
Fans definitely showed overpouring support. But the judge agreed to its release because Megan's case is very strong. Her label is under TRO and they're violating it.
I'd like to add that we knew nothing about all of this until the news came out in the press that the judge ruled she could release the song.

her label made her sign a deal as collateral with 100k on the line saying that if she didn’t make that amount back in royalties and the song wasn’t successful/beneficial to her career she would have to give them the 100k straight out of pocket, but she trusted that the song would be a hit and really wanted this to happen and even though she had a verse her essence is all over the song in adlibs and harmonies with the other members. you can even see her on twitter liking tweets of armys saying we got her back and we won’t let her down and there’s armys all over twitter making sure we treat this song like any other bts song and make sure we secure those 100k for her. if it’s one thing that’s the worst thing you can do is challenge armys head on.
also just found it cute that meg had no hesitation in joining armys on twitter with changing our headers and pictures to fit the occasion and she spent a lot of time just retweeting and reposting fanart and edits on both twitter and insta, she’s been so interactive with us and you can tell she’s really happy, all of the PR for this collab was basically done by meg and armys

all of the court documents are public record and made their way around twitter so we saw pretty much exactly how everything went down in court her label definitely doesn’t have her best interest at heart and isn’t the first time they’ve caused her trouble. in one of the documents you can even see that it’s stated that bts’ legal team was doing more to fight for this collab and her rights as an artist than her own label.

However, many were also disappointed that they weren't nominated for Artist Of The Year but hey! that's because they are artist of the century lol.

i am so happy that bts' and bighit's legal teams fought together with megan's legal team to make this happen. it just shows that they really wanted megan to get the her deserved cash and not her label. it is truly a teamwork of megan, bts, their legal teams, and armys just pushed it fursther (we were actually enraged when we got news that her label isn't letting her release the remix).
they almost did a live performance during BTS world tour with nicki minaj (they collabed with her on IDOL) but it was a misfortune that they were in different cities, so it didn't happen.

I was better than expected for me, I'm not familiar with Megan's music, except her hits, witch didn't seemed to fit with Bts. But she was a nice surprise, the lirics actually fit the song, so she understood the song, the Bts vibe, cause that was my worry, her rap great of course.

That leech label almost ruined everything just for the sake of money. But she didn't give up and BTS and their legal team was with her throughout these 2 months battle. Edit: I was recently informed that Lizzo also has presented herself in a vulgar manner unbecoming of a woman who could be an influencer to young girls and women. For that reason, I scratch Lizzo from my list as well. But I stand by my perspective that there are many other rappers that could have been selected for this collab, someone whose persona, lyrics words and actions represent the woman in a positive and respectful manner and doesn't project an image that perpetuates a stereotype.
IMO, there is no match between the vulgar and offensive Meg Thee Stallion and BTS. A real artist doesn't need to write lyrics boob slapping other women, but that's what you get with vulgarity.
But hey, that's what sells in the US. Never would you have seen this level of vulgarity from the greats like Aretha Franklin, Smokey Robinson, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Bruce Springsteen, etc. They presented themselves, their music and their lyrics with class, not trash. So I pass on this remix.
