    I've been taking 3200 mg of fenugreek for a month but it didn't seem to increase my supply until I started diligently chugging water every day. If there's one thing that I can guarantee helped my milk supply somewhat it's DRINK MORE WATER

      I wouldn’t feel defeated you have other alternatives than formula there’s bladderwrack and sea moss, hemp milk and peamilk ect.. you just have to do research on your end and consult your pediatrician but formula would be my last option there’s been a lot of cases on a lot of health problems caused and children including diseases and people who have switched over to some of the options I listed after doing their research and choosing what would be best and consulting pediatrician when switching over from formula they noticed a complete difference including one person I know their child had no more ear infections The formula should be your last resort and that’s why they’re having a shortage just now because there’s more cases of what I had mentioned and causing a lot of children to be hospitalized but no Millionaire company is just unable to make milk it’s because there was an issue and you can find all those cases and information by doing research

    While this video is helpful, I would disagree with the fact that low milk supply is uncommon. I see many women around me face this issue. I myself underwent C section and still struggling with adequate milk supply after 3 weeks. In India, we rely a lot on home remedies (some of which are mentioned in this video) such as fenugreek, garlic, pearl millet, flaxseeds etc. I have tried all of these as well as taking daily Ayurvedic supplements but still to see significant results. I have even tried power pumping and other tips mentioned by Bridget in her earlier videos. If anyone has any other tips, please let me know!

      Your body could also just be really wiped out from the c-section! That’s major surgery!! I think we can forget at times because it is so common but that can really take it out of you!! I would say the more you can get your baby to latch or pump after a feed might be helpful!! Wishing you the best luck!!! Also make sure your water intake is high!! I’m on baby number two (4 months old) and nursed my first for 15 months. Something I noticed with both of them is that my supply is drastically effected by my water intake AND eating enough!! Also if you’re only 3 weeks postpartum it can take a good 4-6 weeks to get your milk supply up! It’s not always a rush/oversupply like some women experience. Overall hang in there momma you’re doing the absolute best job you can!! Take care of you!! And the rest will follow!! And there is no shame in supplementing with formula if it’s needed for a bit while your body heals!

    Do you have any tips on babies with reflux? And sleeping? My babe is on meds but wakes so often. Hes 12 weeks and wakes up like an hour after being put down to bed

    • @14sierranicole
      @14sierranicole 3 года назад +2

      Have you tried a probiotic? My little girl had awful reflux ( she’s 4 months old now) she still struggles occasionally and I have yet to pin point what I’m eating that causes the bouts for her- but that said getting her on a probiotic really changed things for her!! (If you’re not comfortable giving him probiotics I know some can transfer through your milk assuming you breastfeed!!) I use MaryRuths organic liquid probiotic. You star with one drop a day and up to 5 one time a day for ages 0-12 months. We also had her sleep at a 45 degree angle for a week or so while the probiotic was doing it’s thing.. I know that isn’t for everyone but she is my second kid so I trusted my instincts. She slept right nice to my side of the bed. Also I swear by the Ollie swaddle!! My daughter has been sleeping through the night from 6 weeks on bc of it!! We just swaddle one arm out now. Anyways! Hope this helps!! We also started her on the probiotic at 4 weeks! ♥️ hang in there momma!!!

    • @14sierranicole
      @14sierranicole 3 года назад +3

      Also worth mentioning, they have a growth spurt around 3 months so that could be it! Otherwise here’s what works for us! Sound machine- dark room- if you put him down when it’s light give him something to look at (ie a patterned blanket or contrast card above the crib along the wall or if you’re comfortable with it, in his crib(just out of reach if he isn’t swaddled) some babies get bored but if they have something to focus on or do it’s helpful for them to learn to soothe themselves (without cio). I recommend a sound machine that has different sounds and some music to choose from! My daughter loves to switch it up! My son is extremely routine and always likes the same! You’re doing great though!! I home some of this helps♥️

      @@14sierranicole thanks so much for all the advice and kind words! We have been doing probiotics since about 6 weeks old. I haven't tried that brand yet. We have tried Gerber and mommy's bliss. It's like he's not connecting sleep cycles. It's gotten worse over time with less long stretches. We're lucky if we get 2hrs without a waking. He goes down with white noise in a dark cool room and sleep sack. I do formula feed so hes on alimentum. Started second new medication so far I don't see any difference. Hes a happy baby for the most part occasionally will cry about the reflux but overall he has a great personality and very smiley. Sucks at naps but the nights just kill me. Trying hard to keep him in crib but I always resort to him sleeping on the side of me. I can get some what longer stretches like that but it makes me nervous and irs not sustainable. We're lucky if we get 2hrs stretches. Hes gone 4hrs with a feeding but never sleeping straight without waking. Usuallt even putting him to bed for the night he cries right away falls asleep then wakes up like after an hour and sometimes every hr. I wish I new what else to do. Hoping he just gets it soon. I feel like he's been in a permanent growth spurt from. 2 mths with all the waking.

      @@Sam-yo7nh ugh girl I am SO SO sorry!!! Please know that regardless, this season won’t last forever. My son was like that no joke and until 18 months didn’t sleep through the night and then he only did for a few weeks and then not again until after two years old. He still wakes up but we’ve worked really hard to teach him to stay in his bed and he has learned to soothe himself really well now. I know that’s not what you want to hear. But also every kid is different!! But I want you to know I see you and I hear you and I have been where you are with sleep and I know that it is utterly exhausting!!!! And it seems unending!!! But trust me it will!!! I tried to have the perspective of he is only little once and while this is ridiculous at times (being up so many times and not sleeping) I will miss holding his little body against mine and the middle of the night feeds and the middle of the night cuddles and his need for mommy…. Even though it’s excruciatingly not sustainable. You just survive! You’re doing such a wonderful job!!! Maybe he’s changed his sleep/wake cues and you’re missing that sweet spot? But that’s definitely just a suggestion. Maybe try him sleeping at an incline? Put a pillow/rolled towel under his crib mattress? (Of course only if you’re comfortable) maybe look into an Ollie swaddle? I seriously swear by that for my daughter and wish I had known about it with my son!! She just moves around a lot and will only sleep max 1.5 hours if she isn’t swaddled… or the nested bean sleep sack? If there was a way to not sketchily give you my email or phone number I totally would♥️ wishing you so much success!!! You’re killing it though momma!! Stick with it!! I hope you have some tremendous support!! It helps to know it won’t be like this forever♥️
