"Well, have you considered getting a job?" " No... No that is NOT an option!!" Fucking Christ. Perfect. Some of the funniest comedy I've heard to this day.
There are two wine glasses on set, but they reposition them onto the kids' placemats whenever there are closeups of the kids. It's such a weird subtlety.
This episode was from 2010, so Karen Black was at least 70, and they are parents to young children. I like that surreal element and how casually they play it off
I was watching some 70s horror movie trailer called Burnt Offerings and she appeared there just younger... I IMMEDIATELY thought about the mom in this T&E skit, Lol It as indeed HER!!! Cmon
@@pauldaprogrammer1 The interesting thing about his role on this, however, was he was doing a sort of unstated reprisal of his role on Deadwood. Watch him on Deadwood some time and you'll see it's as if he is being the same character. At least that's how I took it.
He was also on the Bob Newhart show in the 80's. Played A guy named Larry who always said, "I'm Larry, this is my brother Daryl, and this is my other brother Daryl". Had two brothers named Daryl. They were backwoodsy types on the lower IQ side. Seen him in many other things growing up, but Bob Newhart always sticks out for me. He's one of those guys that you don't know their name, but you've seen them in a lot.
While I'm happy to have finally discovered Tim & Eric and all their creative, freakin' bizarre work, I'm also very happy to not have discovered them late at night and/or while unsober. I think it would have led to a very serious freak out.
The two times he says "Ham'b" are awesome: the first while he's putting his gun back in his waistband, and then the thing he does with his eyes the second time 🤣
Oddly enough this isn't the first time these two random actors have dined together onscreen: they were also in a crappy early 90s horror movie called Mirror mirror wherein she's a single mother who invited him to her house for dinner. This entire commercial is scarier than the movie.
Just watched Mirror Mirror from 1990 and couldn't believe it when Karen and William shared scenes together, one of which is ironically a dinner scene where Sanderson once again has a freak out. I love to believe they didn't know they'd be working together on T&E and had the greatest reunion when they arrived on set. Big hugs all around.
Every time I watch this I have a new favorite part. This time it's when the dad just puts the gun to his head while his wife is talking at 1:18 and she just keeps on trucking.
I only just noticed that she takes the bite after slicing it directly off the loaf. She's not slicing it for the family, and she's not eating from her plate. She's eating directly from the loaf while the family chants.
yeah, dear god. there's so much to this sketch. how his children pretty much give a nonreaction when they have a loaded gun pointed at them, as if the dad has been through this routine before. there is a lot of detail in tim and eric's work, no matter how many people just wanna go around saying BEAVER BOYS or THERE's MY CHIPPY.
I cannot envision a more terrifying reality than the Cinco reality.
We're not that far off honestly.
The fact that corn dogs wrapped in pancakes and bacon exists is close enough to that reality.
Mel Thorn Those exist? So i've been wasting my life eating bacon and cheese rolls?
+ebowebo Pretty far off though, but yeah not that far off, but still, pretty far off.
Don't forget the donut bun hamburger
1:18 I love how he's still deliberating suicide after she told him bout the h'amb loaf lol
The spray is the only essence to stop his death
Well. You do hear a gunshot at the end so...
the existence of h'amb would probably push me over the edge
hah same! what a way to react to a wholesome description of a loaf
I mean, he’s losing the house regardless
The way he says son of a bitch is pretty awesome
It's funny to see someone else think the same odd thing.
I also think it's awesome. Let's start a club. We can call ourselves the "Sons of Bitches" club, or the "Job is Not an Option" club, or the "Sons of Bitches Without Jobs" club
lol I came to rewatch this scene just because that exact sound bite popped into my head
I think about that line a lot
Sunnuva 🅱️ITCH
YOU MAKIN' LAMB WITH OUR MONEY PROBLEMS?!?!
It's not lamb
No it's not lamb it's hamb
For God's sake, Jennifer!!
I believe its pronounced laymb
I love how the kids are not even phased as he's pointing the gun at their face
They were about to eat something called Hamb dying probably wouldn't be the worst thing to happen to them
Probably wasn't the first time
Pretty sure the kids weren’t in that shot.
i smell like lamb!
"Well, have you considered getting a job?" " No... No that is NOT an option!!" Fucking Christ. Perfect. Some of the funniest comedy I've heard to this day.
Watching this at the office and cracking up rn
Thanks ........Cinco?@@captured_agent5714
The age match-ups of Tim & Eric families always get me 🤣
"And for the seafood lovers, now there's Ham'bster."
Kills himself...
Nice to see the whole family enjoying a glass of wine with dinner.

It was the lamb spray that got him to finally put the gun down though
You could do good with just the gel and not the phone, guy.... Kickass gel.
Poor J.F. Sebastian. He should have gone back to making replicants.
Close to Human Music excellent eyes you have there, wonderful pearls!
Karen Black and William Sanderson in the same Tim and Eric commercial - amazing!
Pretty sure Roy Batty killed him after killing Tyrell.
I KNEW HE WAS FAMILIAR! I COULD NEVER PLACE IT!
Oh shit, is that him?

@@mikeg3439 I believe this is the sequel or prequel to Deadwood.
@@mikeg3439 I just started watching Deadwood and randomly thought of this sketch and realized instantly that it was E. B.

He still puts the gun up to his head as she's explaining it. Great job!!!
That's always been my favorite part.
He's a brilliant actor
Torontoista He also has two brothers named Darryl.
He was in one of my favorite shows ever, Deadwood on HBO, his character was played so well.
I just saw him an episode of The X-Files. I never realized he's in everything.
It's so weird seeing a genuine, convincing performance in a Tim and Eric sketch.
He does the dramatic soap opera performance so well
I like how the entire family seems mildly inconvenienced that he just pulled a gun on them
Gotta love the classic septuagenarian couple and their two small children. Mom must've had them at the spry young age of 65.
What’s does the sept word mean?
@@mikehawk120 Sept in this case means "7", septuagenarian means "a person in their 70s."
@@Dovah21 why would there be a crazy long word just to say 7? Thank you btw.
@@mikehawk120 Because language is insane sometimes; septa is from Latin.
