  • In this episode I venture into a different state to explore a small, scenic river that is rumored to hold some big Musky. Join me as I chase this toothy predator in the Mountains of West Virginia on a hot summer day.

      @@freedomfishing4903 Exactly. I remember one catch where I was still shaking 30 min later! It's those moments make it worth the grind.

    Sorry to tell you that is no where close to the largest concrete structure east of the Mississippi. See many TVA dams.

    • @sgangling
      @sgangling  2 месяца назад

      It was the largest concrete gravity dam east of the Mississipi for quite some time but you're correct that it isn't any longer...still one of the largest though.

    Does this pot have shore acess legally?

    • @sgangling
      @sgangling  3 года назад

      Yes there is on both sides. Guys fish for bass, walley and trout. Keep in mind its very shallow and rocky so its snag city from shore...

    My family lives in the Phillipi WV area right on the river. Always stories about big muskies right by the covered bridge there.

    • @sgangling
      @sgangling  3 года назад

      Sure thing! From the back waters of the Buckhannon river all the way to where it empties out in the point in downtown Pittsburgh theres no shortage of big Musky.

    • @sgangling
      @sgangling  4 года назад

      Keep trying! They don't stock that area of the river with Musky so there isn't a super high population of them. But its a good area to fish in the summer because the water stays cool.

      Awesome my goal this summer is a 8lb Large Mouth Bass my best is 5@1/2 an a Musky would be really cool🤟
