In this episode of One Piece D&D Marines: -Rustage roleplays as "that bitch", dont be "that bitch" irl please. -Kai realises that not all fruit are bad -Turns out the real reason why the squad chose the marine life is because they suck at doing crime -Yokan throws Kai right under the buss -Kai drags Yokan down with him -SNORBLEGLORK MENTION LETS GO!!! -The squad really says "Police corruption is kinda based actually" -Damian gaslights himself in order to keep his alignment lawful -Noble resigns himself to the fact that he will eventually have to arrest the rest of the party -Rustage introduces a shrinking ray for a gag, breaks it so it cant be used, forgets that one of the PC's is a genious mechanic 💀 -Jiro kickstarts sword and says Seaman Santa aint real -Taiga goes off to become a Parasyte protagonist -A giant all knowing, demon Capybara that is probably also a mob boss was not in my One Piece Bingo Card ngl -You know, if I had a belly for every time Rustage had a bad guy with legally distinct Lego themed powers in his campaigns, I'd have two belly. Which isnt alot but it's weird that it happened twice. -Suddenly all the friendly NPC's that survived the pirate campaign start hearing boss music
Honestly, I love this series a lot. I have to admit, not every joke lands for me, but the shrinking fish-ray bit at 11:19 had me in stitches. The sheer desperation in Rustage's voice was absolute gold-top-notch comedy!
I just want to say I love the goofy random characters with stupid gags because it feel just like one piece 😂 I think rustage does a good job with that.
New headcanon Breadley Briggs only got into the Marine because the responsible officer Red his name and thought he was related to Admiral Bricks (Who appeared in One Piece DND pirates). The Marines usally dont accept fishmen but he the officer approved after just looking at the name
Branch 101 Performance Review #34: Kai: Takes mime gestures a bit too literally. Ultimately could not get over his fear of fruit in his efforts to deceive an old man. Acquired the [Fisherman's Bobber]. Very forthright about his goal in the Museum Incident when confronted by Damian. Doesn't entirely understand that "There's no such thing as a fish" isn't a literal statement of whether or not what he calls a fish exists, rather-[50 page Semantics thesis redacted here]. Commodore Jiro prepared a trinket for Kai to give to Joy to remember Malice by. Catastrophically bad at pool. Belle: Tasked with pulling the fire alarm in the museum by Kai if it was deemed necessary. Napped with a capybara. Swiped some of Rummy's rum, had to give it back. Bradley Briggs: Had to endure overly long and condescending lectures by the smug museum tour guide, Splendor(patience of a saint). Experienced at pool. Yokan: Punished and detained Splendor for Disturbing the Peace(Handwritten note: the crime of being unbearably annoying). Tried covering up her involvement in the Museum Incident, could not deceive Damian. Offered Kai's paycheck as recompense for the Museum Incident. Believes in Kai's claim to the [Fisherman's Bobber], urged Kai to save people with it. Not the best at pool. Damian: Implicitly trusted Yokan's report of the Museum Incident before investigating the matter for himself. Captivated by the latest martini making technology, "elbow grease". Made a boy's day by signing his Marine drawing. Tasked with fixing a roller-coaster in exchange for a ship coating. Choppa: Scouted around the premises of Chanterelle's hot springs :D Provided artillery support against captain Blockus (⌐■_■) Taiga Kibbleton: MIA. Commodore Jiro confirmed his whereabouts not on G-20. Anchor Arms: Looking after Splendor in the brig. Raj: Suggested to Damian to meet Chanterelle again to find the ship coater. Heather: First date with Bradley was in danger of being spoiled by the presence of Splendor(Kai and Yokan's shenanigans too, maybe). Talented first-timer at pool. CASUALTY REPORT: Kai: Projectile vomited at the thought of fruit. Burns and lacerations from a [legally distinct explosive]. Belle: Burns and lacerations from a [legally distinct explosive]. Bradley Briggs: Bruises from stepping on [legally-distinct blocks]. Yokan: Burns and lacerations from a [legally distinct explosive]. Damian: Bruises from stepping on [legally-distinct blocks], burns and lacerations from a [legally distinct explosive]. Raj: Blunt force trauma wound from a [legally-distinct block] bullet, burns and lacerations from a [legally distinct explosive]. Heather: Burns and lacerations from a [legally distinct explosive]. (Some of the books I took from that library contain a suspicious amount of personal information concerning this crew, a lot of it in the format of a Q&A segment hosted by an entertainer of some sort. I didn't need to know what Damian has under the hood. Something about that museum curator seems oddly familiar. Where have I heard the name "Snorbleglork" before? If you've been a Marine long enough, the solitude of the lighthouse becomes somewhat appealing, I don't blame Rummy whatsoever.) Handwritten Note: I can't shake the feeling that some old flames are still burning. Why do I feel their warmth approaching?
There’s an argument to be made for fish being more of a culinary term than a scientific one. When most people talk about fish, it’s usually focused on catching and/or eating them, or something in between.
At first I was worried about Scourge fighting branch 101 because he might die, but then I remembered that Hemlock is the leader of eight flames, and the classic hemlock technique is giving up and switching sides when your losing, so it’s likely the new flames may do the same.
I love the balance between making lots of progress, and episodes like this where its just chaos, shenanigans and sillyness. Thoug neing DND dice rolls can affect this and their RP lmao
They literally could’ve just asked the funny guys, to ask the boss lady, about the ship coater, and then the funny guys could’ve just brought the Marines the information.
When they started talking about the museum, I was like, yeah that should probably happen and that doesn’t sound unreasonable because the British machine has stolen many cultures artifact and refused to give them back😂
Once again a very fun episode. Splendor was delightfully punchable and Yokan was on her shipping antics again. Kai managing to snag the Bobber is great as well. If we need a person to die to show somebody’s strength, Splendor will do the trick I imagine. Also Chanterelle really messed up hiring Scourge and Lure. They seem expensive and being accused of being rogue marines when they’re not won’t end well. Shame, the money could’ve gone to Morel’s future. I also enjoyed the Capybara bar. Capybara are the chilliest animals I’ve ever seen and I like how Bradley rocks at pool and Raj sucks at it. And I like hpw thanks to Belle, we got to see a bit with how Rummy fought. I like how Belle gave him a little bit of a push to show what can do. I also really enjoyed the SBS during the stream. Sorry I put you on the spot a bit with the question “Tavrock has been a Pirate for over a decade. Was Pearl ever in his sights and did he keep track of her?” But I think you gave a pretty good answer. In any case I hope the next episode is great as well and I hope poor Scourge doesn’t die over a misunderstanding.
Ah man, the marine crew has no reason to show mercy to the candles if they attack them. It'll be interesting to see how that goes, hope no one dies but i won't get my hopes up.
You never know, they could get together (I want them too fr) but I love how they’re like the dads of branch 101, the only two people with braincells in the whole group smh
Lol everytime rustage meet up with the gang they hung him and whisper in his ear....."thank you for the long rest" 😂 excited as hell to see how the unit interacts with the candles. Lol if we find out William and hemlock are a thing im rating 5 stars
I forgot if this is true or if I'm gaslighting myself but before being kidnapped by Tavrock, wasn't Raj a mercenary? Do you think he might recognize the eight flames??
Can I just say, kudos to lost pause for playing lawful stupid right. Daimiens lawful good nature is just kinda fun watch, the conflict and justifying when lawful and good conflict, being the straight man to the rest of the crews chaotic nature, especially as yokan also is becoming a bit more chaotic. I think because as I said earlier it causes character conflict, and because it is used more as a bit then a dampener of the fun.
This series is getting more insane with each episode! The heist could have done better if they had Bradley, but I respect that they didn't want to interrupt his date with Heather. Damian figures out the situation so that Yokan and Kai had to confess. No wonder I didn't like Splendor not only did I not like his attitude but he was friends with Gus as well, due to how he acts he should have been arrested. Rustage, why would try to bring up a fish shrink ray, it would not make sense for the aquarium to have it and you know these guys would want to get it, also trying to say it broke doesn't work because Damian could repair it. That discussion on the concept of fish makes no sense whatsoever, just to get rid of the fish shrink ray, Rustage for future reference please don't introduce certain items that wouldn't make sense and that you're worried that the players would want to get. Of course, The World Government would approve the robo knights considering the Pacifista aren't made yet, so this is the closest thing to them. I love that Jiro is having Branch 101 going after Jepperd, but it's done covertly. This feels like the origins of Sword are about to happen. I'm so worried about Taiga, he has either possibly drowned and died or due to him being possessed by that Mutated wort, he can swim, but the next time they meet him, he is going to attack them and become the enemy and sadly we can't track him. Wow, I'm a bit surprised that Jiro doubts that the 7 Legendary Fisherman tools are real and that he is a descendant to the Legendary Fisherman Mako, it's split between the family where one side are dreamers and believe both in the Legend and their legacy, but the other side are more realistic and doesn't believe in it. Well, the Marines are banned from the Hot Springs, I didn't expect one group to get the whole organization banned from a Hot Springs. When they say Candles, does that mean the 8 flames are back and Chanterelle is one of them or is going to hire one of them? I honestly do feel bad for Chanterelle, but she doesn't know the truth about Gus and who he really is, she believes that the man she married and has a child with was a good and respectful person, but that's far from the truth. Funny this started because Damian and Yokan were too honest and lying would have been the best thing for her, better for her to know that Gus died a hero than a villain. That got resolved too easily, now I'm worried! Kai is never gonna get those allegations to stop, also why would Heather and Raj still be in Hybrid mode considering they have Devil Fruits and they aren't Minks, they should be able to turn off their hybrid forms and go into their human forms unless this similar to what happened to Pearl in the original One Piece D&D, otherwise they should be in their human forms. This is by far the strangest bar in the One Piece D&D world. I don't blame the chat, thinking the kid asking to sign his drawing could have been roulette's son because that might be something that she probably would do, also who's the kid's dad considering this kid likes guns, does this kid have a connection to Bullet? I could be wrong, so this might not matter. Branch 101 faces the Block Pirates or I would probably refer to them as the LEGO Pirates. It's nice to see the 8 flames again, however, I'm worried for both sides.
I kind of had the theory that Tavrock probably forced Heather and Raj to be in their hybrid forms for so long that they find it harder to switch out of it
Am I supposed to remember who scourge is or is he new Edit: and lure Another edit: this is very much not good very not good (as in being hunted by the flames)

Thanks For this 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Hemlocks back 😄
Happy Turkey Day Rustage!
yeah, the 8 flames are back but now I'm scared because I don't think Branch 101 will be allying with the flames unlike the DLP.
Scourge is so baby girl
I cannot express enough how hard Spooky popped off with Yokan these last couple episodes
Genuinely such amazing role-play from him
Fun Fact: Briggs had to drive to his house for a microphone, so they were had an SBS for nearly an hour.
AN SBS! YAY!
the sbs was alotta fun tho
The SBS was lots of fun
Oh nice, did it get uploaded anywhere?
I’d it gonna be uploaded or should I check out the Vod?
THE 8 FLAMES ARE BACK!!!! AND WE'RE FOCUSING ON SCERGE!!!!!
In this episode of One Piece D&D Marines:
-Rustage roleplays as "that bitch", dont be "that bitch" irl please.
-Kai realises that not all fruit are bad
-Turns out the real reason why the squad chose the marine life is because they suck at doing crime
-Yokan throws Kai right under the buss
-Kai drags Yokan down with him
-SNORBLEGLORK MENTION LETS GO!!!
-The squad really says "Police corruption is kinda based actually"
-Damian gaslights himself in order to keep his alignment lawful
-Noble resigns himself to the fact that he will eventually have to arrest the rest of the party
-Rustage introduces a shrinking ray for a gag, breaks it so it cant be used, forgets that one of the PC's is a genious mechanic 💀
-Jiro kickstarts sword and says Seaman Santa aint real
-Taiga goes off to become a Parasyte protagonist
-A giant all knowing, demon Capybara that is probably also a mob boss was not in my One Piece Bingo Card ngl
-You know, if I had a belly for every time Rustage had a bad guy with legally distinct Lego themed powers in his campaigns, I'd have two belly. Which isnt alot but it's weird that it happened twice.

I always like these reports every single episode keep doing them my good sir,
Scourge has become one of my favorite characters just because of this
We finally have an "For Our Blind Listeners" for the One Piece Campain.
I've grown so accustomed to it from Isekai, I almost wrote it off.
Yokan being the most chaotic person in the room always is a blast.
Honestly, I love this series a lot. I have to admit, not every joke lands for me, but the shrinking fish-ray bit at 11:19 had me in stitches. The sheer desperation in Rustage's voice was absolute gold-top-notch comedy!

There’s an argument to be made for fish being more of a culinary term than a scientific one. When most people talk about fish, it’s usually focused on catching and/or eating them, or something in between.
If Damien learns Enlarge/Reduce then he can just HAVE a shrink ray.
He probably does have Enlarge/Reduce already lol, but even if he uses it it could fail, while the shrink ray would probably always work
