Maybe I'm not in the know but as a real Japanese car fan, I can safely say that it was about time we got this gentleman in this format. A gentleman and a scholar.
alexi was the person who got me into drifting and cars. I remember stumbling upon the red 86 video the week it was posted when I was 12 changed my life forever.
Hearing Alexi talk so casually about his meet n greet in aus is so funny. He really did just treat everyone like a mate, but in reality, everyone was really meeting a hero and an icon to them. Will forever appreciate how dedicated he was to saying hi to everyone. I feverishly await his return to aus x
My absolute favorite part about Alexi’s videos is his little bits of info he feeds you on everything. My favorite videos are when he goes to a Sunday meet or the rotary meets and teaches you so much about all the different cars down to the strangest things, it’s really immersive and informative
@noriyaro please do more of this. Been watching you for years now, and this was so rad. I've always wanted to learn more about where you started and stuff. I've picked up a fair bit of it over the years, but so much of it in one place like this is great.
@@Goodestcast I can't imagine I would do anything different. You were talking to a living legend. Sometimes you just gotta let em do their thing. The dude got where he is for a reason, he's great to listen to. Much love!
An entertaining 3.5hr podcast is not an easy thing to accomplish...you guys made 3.5 hours not feel like 3.5 hours. Would definitely listen to a PT. II
Absolutely amazing interview! Exactly what we were looking for. This has the be the best insight into Alexi’s background - super informative! Alexi has always been a huge influence to me and it was great to finally get a video like this! Thank you!!
The incident with the GP Sports boss had me stunned and cracking up at the same time. Alexi don't strike me as the type of person who would blow up like that. Mana-P is the god commentator! In person he is definitely the most humble with a low key personality. I met him at TC2000 during a time attack event he was commentating for, I think Option was shooting the event. I told him how famous he was over seas and he would not accept it. Super nice guy. Awesome show, awesome guess. Took me 3 days to finish listening. Love Alexi's Daikoku PA back drop btw lol
I'd listen to Alexi talk about anything all day 🤣🤣 the random Japanese he throws in is my favourite I don't understand a word but id listen to it all day regardless 👍👍
Ric Shaw is an Aussie rotary racing legend. Most people here might be familiar with PAC and their drag racing stuff but Ric has been doing it just as long on the track and, RIP Oran Park
I have a friend who is a regular at my local track and he is still drifting at 67 years old. Every single track day he is there ripping it up. I hope to be him one day.
Podcasts are true talk shows. Alexi standing up to the GP Sports boss is a good story. Sometimes, even the big wigs need correction. Probably not as heated, but still.
otoko ha damatte。 男は黙って。 おとこ は だまって。 all of the writings in latin hiragana, kanji including hiragana and all hiragana. "ha" is read as "wa". Hopefully helps 👍 Alexi already said the meaning after saying it
An excellent interview. I'm interested in how he was able to get a permanent job and stay in Japan at the end of his working holiday though. To the best of my knowledge, people entering the country on such a visa are forbidden from finding permanent employment and must return to their home country at the end of a working-holiday. The Japanese authorities even ask for proof that you have a way to get home before they'll issue the visa.
Enjoyed watching Alexi talk, but man and this may be a weird gripe but, you should put up a room partition or something when doing these. Looks like you're looking at a college dorm room and makes you look super low budget/unprofessional. Not hating, just an observation.
@Goodestcast-drifting-podcast You can still be budget and look good doing it. A room divider is under $40, stick a $10 string of LED's behind that, and you have a cool looking background!
Back in days we was going to pig farms in or town to get tyers for drifting. Becous they cover manrue or something with plastic and top it withy tyes like weight to cover it.. ❤
*Alexi talking history for 40min*
Palmer: yeah..
Alexi:yeah…………..
Palmer:yeah..
Alexi: So anyways….
Hahaha. Top tier interviewing skills over here.
Maybe I'm not in the know but as a real Japanese car fan, I can safely say that it was about time we got this gentleman in this format. A gentleman and a scholar.
Yeah he's super interesting!

Glad to give a platform for this. I just sat back and listened haha. So many good stories.

Much love!
Noriyaro’s OG raw drift videos will always be top to me
The thought of someone casually just putting a VHS in their pocket is wild.
Definitely need another episode of this, I could listen to Alexi talk all day! Not to mention palmer is a handsome king
An entertaining 3.5hr podcast is not an easy thing to accomplish...you guys made 3.5 hours not feel like 3.5 hours. Would definitely listen to a PT. II
That's really kind, thank you!
LOVED this!!! Some real gems in this one. Squaring up with the ex-GP Sports boss is 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks legend!
Best late Christmas Gift

Alexi aka noriyaro needs to do weekly vids his stuff is too good
Indonesian people indirectly steer Alexi into drifting is the thing I don't expect to hear ever
Ric Shaw is an Aussie rotary racing legend. Most people here might be familiar with PAC and their drag racing stuff but Ric has been doing it just as long on the track and, RIP Oran Park
Def need a part 2 of this chat
What a good conversation to listen to!

So cool!
Goodestcast living up to it's name. Love that you got Alexi on here
Thanks haha
Puts me right to sleep, love stories like this ❤️
Alexi's always so good with his words
How he said his channels theme song is kinda like a dinner bell, everyone's salivating when the song comes on 😂
So true. The song was done by Guitar god Myrone, who also did our Animal Style theme song.
Best podcast I head in a while ! THX Goodestcast and Alexi ❤❤
Thank you!
best so far!!
Interviewer gets a word in at 1:10:56
Heart you Alexi!
He's really interesting, I had to just let him run with it. If you watch some of the other episodes I talk almost too much sometimes haha.
I was going to go to bed but I guess I’m staying awake till 3am!
Great episode!
2:06:10…… me looking at my blackberry torch that i have used daily for about 8 years…. Damn, why you gotta do me like that?
oh fuck yeah this is the motivation i need to attend my first event coming up next season
Doooope! Love to hear that!
Do it, you WILL NOT regret it, your wallet might, but you wont!

Christ, Alexi's backstory is like two seasons of Initial D.
that was great, and yes, bring him to norcal.
I been building a fuel cell this whole stream lol
50:20 anyone know what the Japanese saying is? Otoko… something?
Edit… wait is it “koto de iiwake”?
otoko ha damatte。 男は黙って。 おとこ は だまって。 all of the writings in latin hiragana, kanji including hiragana and all hiragana. "ha" is read as "wa". Hopefully helps 👍 Alexi already said the meaning after saying it

this is that good shit
The goodest!!!! Love alexi!
Fuck its 2023 and people in the states still have that same mentality about lsd's! 😂
Wym?
Lore iyaro
Ok, this is epic
Dude, Myrone intro is too sick to replace. Only one that could ever make another song hype enough would probably just be Myrone.
He’s the best
Grab it and Twist It!!!
hahaha
Damn, I thought I left a comment. Here it is.
this was so fucking cool
palmer has the most fried answers.
I was super out of it on this one haha.
great all the way through
3:22:25 my exact living situation rn haha
Whats the point in having a microphone if youre not gonna speak into it??
hahahaha
