Im looking to becoming a volunteer in michigan, and the department im looking to get into is strictly volunteer. Any tips or wisdom to share for a new guy trying to get in?
Be willing to learn, there’s no dumb questions (the only dumb questions are the unasked ones), ask someone to mentor you even ask for a couple mentors to help get you started it never hurts and the senior guys are usually happy to help teach, never assume you know anything unless you actually notice it wayyyy before they even think about it, and for gods sake don’t ever and I mean EVER say that damn Q word 😂
