- Dispatched to a side by side vehicle hitting a tree that fell across the roadway. Once units arrived on scene they attended to two patients. EMS arrived and transported the patients to the hospital for stitches and observation.

Just curious, how far is your response from home to the station? Have you ever been hassled for being so far out? I ask because I am a capt for my dept however I live 8 miles from district in a neighboring county, I respond through another fire district to get to mine and i worry about pissing off that jurisdiction
I live about 7 miles from my station. I have been pulled over in Georgia for running code. Once they see I have a valid permit there usually are no issues. As long as you drive with due regard I do not think you would have any issues either.
Just a very curious question as someone who tends to drive alot of Emergency Vehicles in Australia, does the back splash from the lights effect your ability to drive or see certain thing's, just can see sometimes it flashing in your eyes etc
The front lights have very little flashback and do not effect my vision. The rears at night have a lot of flashback but I still can see out of the rear view mirror. I generally use the side mirrors more anyway.
This is gonna be a really dumb question but your radio in the truck, is that issued or did you buy that yourself?
It is not issued.
What happened to your horn?
I'm having issues with either the relay or the sapphire. I disconnected it for now. I will pick up another relay and rewire it soon.
Are you an EMT or paramedic

No we are not EMT's We are EMR certified only.

@@itzgalactic2537 EMRs can't transport patients or administer medications. They have basic first aid skills. Where as EMTs can transport patients and administer medications.
