Question! Why couldn't Sephiroth be the donor? I never understood that part 🤔
So, it's a bit complicated for a number of reasons. Sephiroth was essentially engineered to perfection from fetal stage. Having been injected with Jenova cells directly. He was a successful product of Shinra and Hojo's experiments.
Sephiroth and Genisis have an entirely different genetic makeup (Genesis was engineered using Gillian Hewley's DNA, who was injected with Jenova cells prior. Gillian's cells were then injected into a fetal Genisis. So a weaker outcome), kinda like having different blood types. Jenova's cells are compatible with Sephiroth, but for Genesis, it would make his condition worse.
I think CC failed to explain why Genesis goes on to ask Sephiroth for his cells. But Genisis probably thought that Sephiroth's "perfect," cells could stop his degradation if they managed to make it compatible for him.
Long dtiry short, Sephiroth is type S, and Genesis and Angeal are type G.
Why do you dislike change so much? Some people you mentioned have had great careers. Now, there's a great chance for others to have the same, but you get upset. Doesn't make sense to me.

Oh my god. I've been avoiding crisis core reunion because I haven't played it yet and the voice acting they completely murdered it. The original VA is so superior. They sound dead here
