Man i love how both jeegs deployed at 150 will. Jama empire never stood a chance. Not to mention old jeeg also start witg a free zeal and kotetsu jeeg has that broken 2.5x valor thingy. Not to mention having that spirit command that ignores size.
This is cool..only because it's nice to see my favourite robot still alive and kicking. but the original hand painted version and with real analogue sounds at the back is still the most awesome one.
Ehhh, thing about Koutetsushin is that unlike 99.9% of "sequel series" like this, it didn't toss the old series to the wind or just retell it with a new character. It actually progresses the series, with everything from super important major CONFIRMED character death (Asamo, in this very video for example) to expanded character back stories. It manages to "have it's own time" and build it's own characters and storyline AND manages to draw the original series to a vastly superior close.
PerfectChaosZeta Part of that is the fact that, well, this isn't really a sequel to the original Jeeg. It ended very differently, some characters (Takeru!) were completely different, no Mecha-Don, Hiroshi didn't have his second form...
This is a sequel series to a 70s show. Because the original Jeeg was a robot he hasn't aged while his partner has become a grandmother- real time slide!

Firstly the origiona Jeeg series wich this was a sequal to was made by Go Nagai (you know the guy who made Mazinger) and most theses villains were in the origional. Yes he does lie to reuse ideas but he allways put a knew spin on them. Secondly the "Even Himika-sama never kicked me" line is a tribute to Jeeg's origional voice actor who also played Amurao Ray

Fun fact: Daisuke Oono (Kenji) wasn't even born till three years after Koutetsu Jeeg was aired. Junichi Suwabe (Hiroshi) was barely even three.
