    The early 60s Birds were always my favorites, I appreciate and admire the care and skill you put into restoring these truly special cars. I even chuckle at some of your screw-up, which you have to make right. I've been there and done that myself. Look forward to more Vedios.

      Thank you sir! That’s awesome! I actually wanted a 62 originally, I absolutely love the grills on them! But then I saw this 63 come up for sale and decided to go ahead and snag it, maybe one day I’ll get a 62 too!

    Hello! You are doing an awesome job on yout T-bird. Your videos are great also. They do not drag on, and you keep it interesting. Thanks for showing mistakes as well. I also am restoring a 66 T-bird. Just finishing up the undercarriage. I used Herculiner for the undercoating. It works well. Thanks for posting the videos.

      Thanks for the kind comment George! That sounds like a sweet project! I was debating about using bedliner, I have used some before on other projects and it turned out great! I decided to try the Eastwood stuff though purely out of curiosity, and so far I am pretty happy with it. Good luck with your project and thanks for watching!

    "A rust free California car"....... Hmmm.... seams I have heard that one before....Oh wait, it's in the garage my '65 Landu I have had it just over a year now and well, it now has Flintstones style front floor pans and after removing the vial top that was not original and discovering that the previous owner just installed it over the rust holes..... I have been thinking of just transferring my back account to the Birds Nest as half the car is new. I figure by the time it will be done gas will be over $6 a gallon an I won't be able to drive it. I really enjoyed your videos may God bless you!

      Oh jeeze, that sounds like one heck of a project, rust holes are the worst! Glad to hear I am not the only one dealing with shoddy work done by a previous owner, at least there's folks like you and me who are doing our best to right the wrongs done to these cars in their past lives! Thanks for the comment sir and good luck restoring your Landau!

    Would it be better to lay the fenders flat when spraying to stop the sagging

    • @AngellsGarage
      @AngellsGarage  Год назад +1

      Yes sir it would be! I painted the fenders vertically on purpose though as I wanted to prepare myself for spraying the rest of the car (quarter panels, sides of the roof, etc). I figured that if I could master painting the fenders vertically, then I would be good when it came to spraying the rest of the car (hopefully)!

    Do u have a clip of replacing driver door rubber trim on 1963 Tbird? I'm having trouble getting after-market rubber trim to fit, so the door isn't tough to close. Thanks

      I do have the rubber for the door but have yet to install it, so no video yet I am afraid!

    good job but to be definitively efficient, you should put grease everywhere. grease is the only thing very efficient against rust. put grease between metal and carpet, inside door, behind metallic bumper, under the vehicle, behind the repairs you can make (everywhere inside the body - hidden erea - instead of using paint), hollow areas (necessarily hidden, so no need to be aesthetic). For rear wings unreachable with a paintbrush, use an extender and poor old oil everywhere each year.Handyman Experience - 35 years. From france
