Training Ukraine's volunteer army 🇺🇦

- Since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, tens of thousands of Ukrainians have volunteered to fight for their country. The volunteers are trained in basic military skills by NATO Allies and partners across Europe.
In the United Kingdom, groups of Ukrainian volunteers are undergoing a five-week course focusing on small arms, medical and urban combat training among other fundamental military skills. The training aims to provide them with basic skills and principles to survive and fight in their respective units. The courses are United Kingdom-led with instructors from NATO Allies, including Canada, Denmark, Finland, Lithuania, the Netherlands and Norway, as well as NATO invitee Sweden, and partner countries Australia and New Zealand. The programme is part of the UK’s commitment to help Ukraine uphold its right to self-defence against Russia’s unprovoked war of aggression.
In this video, we follow a group of brave Ukrainian volunteers going through one of these courses and learning new skills as they prepare to face again the hardships of the battlefield, ready to defend their country.

We have 14 CV90 turrets ready for shipment soon as replacement parts. I wish my government would do more, its heartbreaking to see that you are forced to defend your country against a vile enemy. Personally i feel for all the parents, being a new parent myself. We can deal with temporary economic stresses, i wish we did more.
I´m Swedish and I´m extremely pleased with what my country does for Ukraine. It´s not enough but it´s more than nothing. We will stay with Ukraine until it´s rebuilt (All the way!)

Some of the best training I ever received involved a Brit in a beret chasing me through the woods yelling at me to go faster.
Seriously, the Ukrainians are receiving world class training; Mastery of fundamentals that can take them to the next level as soldiers and leaders.
Me, too. Canadian Boy Scouts in the sixties with a troop leader who was a Glaswegian former Royal Marine Commando. He carried two pairs of boxing gloves in his car trunk in case a beef started.
The Ukrainians will be world class when they have time to start training properly rather than in emergency mode. I've seen some very disappointing tactics from them so far. The learning curve is steep, I'm afraid.
@@loupgarou-dj3tm agree, as well as the basic training being given they should be selecting personnel to do further training. That way if this war goes on for longer then the Russians would be meeting increasingly tougher resistance.

@@scothf1273they don’t need to win, morality aside, if Russia was to somehow break through the Ukrainian lines and annex Ukraine or whatever they have planned… nato only loses roughly 9% of their whole arsenal while Russia… is utterly fucked, militarily, economically and politically, plus any type of partisan attack post war would be shown around the world as Russia being completely unable to subdue its annexed territory
NATO has already won this war and now they are just waiting to see how hard Russia has lost

I'm Australian, and I have to say that the training and equipment we've provided Ukraine is the best use of my taxes that I can think of. I hope we step up our support and maintain it until Ukraine is victorious. I hope we will continue to be there after the victory to help the Ukranian people rebuild.

@@hmu05366 Germany's military stocks are quite depleted. Did you know that the German army itself has only 20.000 155-artillery ammunition in stock. The military has been neglected over decades! Air defense has been donated directly from the weapon manufacturor. Not even the Bundeswehr has such kind of weapons yet.

my friend. If you just get over there to poland and they will pay for everything else. Pay your food, your stay, your bus ticket, your equipment, your basic training, and monthly salary. I know of ways to help you get there.
