  • Epoxy hot coat
This name was inherited from the bath with polyester resin, where because of the catalyst and accelerator the resin got hot quickly.
By default the hot coat will be the last resin bath, and will be done with a 4 inch wide brush.
It is a process that must be done in the shortest possible time.
Just like lamination, it will be done first on one side of the board and then on the other.
The purpose of the hot coat is to completely cover the fiberglass mesh that is still visible.
The surface of the board after lamination looks porous and checkered. The one we will have after the hot coat will be smooth and uniform.
Important: the environment must be free of dust and insects. The cleaner the air, the better the finish of this bath.
Important: the previously laminated surface of the board must be free of dust and handled with gloves to avoid direct contact with the hands, because even with clean hands, natural skin fat and sweat can dirty the board.
It's a small auxiliary video for you who are doing your board with me through the Online Workshop.

Brown, eu estou passando o hot coat, porém a superfície não fica regular, fica com várias crateras, como resolver isso?
