I wish I would have had my boards drying out 2 months ago! It'll be a long wait to get started. Eager, anxious. Your videos make it look easy enough to go for it, even though I know it'll be a lot of work. Thank you!
Tried shaping my first board a while back, based on your ESP board videos. Didn't end in the best of results (because of my craftsmanship), however your videos truly made things easier and really educational. So cheers to you and keep up the great content!
Hey, been enjoying the series so far. If you want to up you "hot coat" (most fiberglass places I've seen call it a "fill coat") game, check out Nick Shade's process of glassing a kayak. I think you might like it.
Hey Andrew. Great as always. You have a very forgiving pace for all the beginners out thee. I've watched your other builds and repairs. Great evolution. One thing I would like you to discuss is what you feel the over all weight will be compared to your other builds in the same category... or not. But a general feel of what you feel the weight ratio is compared to a mid density foam board. Cheers !
Hey Andrew! very nice job. Ive been watching all videos related to this surfboard. Thinking of makin my own, too! What do you think of building small fins in the woods shape? Im thinking of making a bonzer (the main fin with the futures system, but the very small fins built straight in the wood) Do you think it is going to be too messy for the glassing job? One more question: Whats the song you play in minute 23? Shazam cant recognize it...! Thanks for your videos!
Hi Andrew, Thanks for all your teachings!!! just a quick question regarding hotcoating; I'm using epoxy resin fast hardner for laminating, 10mins pot life, and it will be tacky for an hour or two, but if I leave it overnight I have to sand all fiberglass to a matte finish in order for hotcoating to stick to it; would you not have to sand before you apply hotcoating? is not necessary what I am doing? could anyone help?
I love these videos, thanks for making them. Best thing I have found to help guide me through the process of making a wood board.
fantastic work amazing results.

Great board! Looks incredible. Could you use a polyurethane to seal the wood instead of glass to make it lighter?

Is that epoxy same as glassing one?
Great video. Have you considered using boardlams.com? Seems pretty cool. Been thinking about trying it on my slope planes.
My only question is what is an Asian man doing with a yogourt container ?!
