    Rhode Island used to have coasters...i grew up with the last of them at the late, beloved Rocky Point Park...an Arrow looping corkscrew and a Schwarzkopf wildcat...not the best, for sure, but not bad for a small park at the time.

      @urbex_coasters 5 месяцев назад +1

      I rode your credit yesterday. It has its pros and cons, I love the "unlimited rides for 1 hour" policy and wish more alpine coasters adapted something like that. The "action shot" big drop is a really cool moment. That said, the autobreaking is the worst I've ever seen on an alpine coaster and it's not even close. And today I ride perhaps the most obscure coaster on the continent with the Montana alpine coaster. When you're living out of your car and moving to the Pacific Northwest it isn't too hard to pick up some of the rarest credits out there along the way.

    • @CivilianSatellite
      @CivilianSatellite 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@urbex_coasters Glad you got a chance to experience our alpine coaster! I love that it has a few large drops, but I agree the auto braking is brutal. It has the potential to be so much better. Glad you also got to Flathead Lake. That one’s fun too, but I find the short length and lack of helixes makes it one of the weaker alpine coasters for me. Still, happy that Montana finally got themselves an operating coaster.

    Rhode Island is actually a sad case--once upon a time, they had many coasters! But the death of most of the old-school boardwalk and trolley parks hit them hard.
    Five of the six coasters in Maine are within a short distance of one another and you could probably easily bang out those credits in a day. I've been meaning to do that sometime.

    Great video idea and collaboration! But sorry, I'm going to be THAT guy and mention that Arizona actually has 10 rollercoasters. You missed Gravity Coaster at Schnepf Farms, one of the oldest still operating steel coasters in the world. It's older than Matterhorn Bobsleds. I wasn't going to mention it because I figured you left it off on purpose because the rides at the farm are only open weekends in October for their fall event, but then I saw in part 2 you counted Tornado and Teddy Bear at Stricker's Grove in Ohio even though the park is open only 4 days a year.

    Here in SD we don't have much, but our mountain coaster is actually pretty good. I've ridden the ones in Branson, and I actually prefer ours to all of those. Unlike every other mountain coaster I've ridden, Rush Mountain has a pretty steep hill it's built on, so out of nowhere you just see a little cliff that you ride along. If you visit Mt Rushmore, make sure to stop at the coaster... it is somewhat expensive though, but that's typical.

      Obvious pick - Houston. Such an enormous city and just a couple boardwalks

      Me personally, I would have to go with Nashville Tennessee. Such a fun town with a great entertainment businesses that could really benefit from a major park to compete with Dollywood

      Nashville used to have a park, Opryland. The Opry Mills Mall was built on the site of where Opryland existed. I used to go there in its last few years.

      Detroit is mainly served only by Cedar Point, with Michigan’s Adventure mainly catering to the Grand Rapids area and those who live in the north, myself included.
      Seattle is served only by small parks.

    I love the idea of collaborating with others, but this Amusementscape guy isn’t it. His narration sounds like a cross between an eighth grader reading a term paper he didn’t want to write and the prisoner in a Taliban hostage video. I don’t know if it’s his schtick, but I don’t ever think I’ve seen a coaster video made by a guy who seems like he genuinely doesn’t like coasters. At all.
