tbh less is more this tutorial is such a great foundation for anyone who is starting out with beats or for anyone who is trying to perfect their drum patterns 🙏🏻
Omg this has been so damn helpful, especially where you went over which spots trap producers commonly put their kicks in. I often didn't quite know where they're supposed to go to sound good. Obviously, it's good to also try around a bit but it helps immensely to have some guidelines of where people tend to put them to make it sound good. Thanks a lot mate
Gotta do it each time, saves people time so you can get straight to the point of what you need if you know a certain topic. Thanks for watching and giving me feedback.
By far the best drum tut I've seen yet. Very good job explaining a topic and then directly referencing modern songs/artists. All while being able to hear the differences. Subscribed right away.
You know whats crazy, one of my people teaches at a high school and he played some of my music theory vids. Thanks the feedback and thanks for watching
This is just what I was looking for, this video just showed me that I have been making trap beat patterns the wrong way Thanks man, for showing me the light Respect man, Respect 💯💯 I salute you 🙌
Aye I really am grateful, I’m glad the video helped you, especially at the very beginning of your producer career. Hopefully it gives you a solid foundation for the future but I appreciate the feedback and thanks for watching
Mellow Dee thank you for sharing all your knowledge. I just got your combustion kit, love it bro. I’m about to cook something up, every sound on their is tight, definitely top of the line quality. I highly recommend that all subscriber download what ever you have. I’ll definitely be downloading more of your kits.Mello Dee is a blessing and he definitely deserves our support. yo thanks alot im certanly a new producer , i am learning for my own rapping and tbh this is the first educational video on drum patterns i have gotten to watch and its very clean and watchable, thanks alot for the inspiration and knowledge
Oh for sure, I'm glad I could help you at the beginning of your beat making journey. Thanks for watching and thanks for the feedback, I appreciate you 🙏🏾
@@MelloDeeBeats I love your style, had a laugh and all but learned efficiently. I’d love a video on some sampling techniques but I’m worried about copyright and stuff but have no idea how that side of it works, so an explanation would be helpful too. Thanks dog ur underrated asf!
I try my best to be clear, concise and thorough, I'm glad you like my teaching style.Thank you for that feedback and thanks for watching, much appreciated.
I got a hi hat video, I just uploaded a snare roll video as well. I also dropped a midi kit, you can get it on my website for free, those resources should help you our bit more
First off, sorry for being late but I'll break this all down. A bar is one measure. A measure has 4 beats. If you open the piano roll in FL studio, set the tempo to 90 and turn on the metronome and press play , you'll notice it hits 4 times through the length of 1 pattern before it starts the patten over again. Each of those metronome hits are 1 beat, a bar or measure has 4 beats. The 2 and the 4 would be the second and fourth beats/metronome hits. Now if we look at what I'm doing by making the beat at the tempo of 130. If you listen to the metronome, it's going very fast. I'm making beats in double time, like most trap producers do. Instead of the bars being 4 beats at 130 tempo, they're 8 beats. When people hear it though , is gonna sound like 65bpm (half that). But if that's too confusing, forget double time. I place the snares on the third metronome beat of each piano roll patten on the piano roll (for tempos 120 and above.) I hope that helps. If not, feel free to ask more.
@@MelloDeeBeats Thank you for taking time to answer my question. I am still confused because the clap is on the third beat of each bar, and I don't understand how it translates to "2 and 4 of each bar". Because when I hear "beat on the 2 and the 4" It's going to be 2 claps per measure, respectively on beat 2 and 4, instead of just one like you used. I tried to listen to metronome on 130bpm but all I heard were 4 beats, less spaced out than the 90bpm. But I don't understand how they're 8 beats?
sir had a request I wanted to learn rnb drum pattern and pop drum pattern for beginner just like you made this video for trap drums it would be a lot of help sir and ur pattern
I got some stuff lined up for R&B-Pop drums, i got a specific drum pattern i want to highlight. Can't tell you if it'll be coming in november or december but it's coming for sure.
