AiG used to use God's preserved Word in the original texts, translated to KJV. Now they use 'modern' Bibles that are from corrupted texts lost for almost 2000 years. And they don't find that CONCERNING. Christian organizations fall in tiny steps - other organizations start out the same way - compromise on God's Word as if He didn't preserve every. single. Word.

Thank you AIG for as always standing up and making your voice heard as we're all commanded to do.
I'm adding something below that I pray opens the eyes of some who are truly misguided right now.
We are to make our voices heard in support of Judeo Christian values and those who most closely align with them.
Now that being said, Trump nor any other is a savior, there's only One savior of all mankind, the man Christ Jesus, the very Son of God.
So when voting as a Christian we know we'll find no perfect person to vote for, that's just not possible in this fallen world.
That does not mean however we are to remain silent. In the USA we are not a monarchy, we have a responsibility as dual citizens of both His kingdom and the USA to vote and have a say in the direction this nation takes. We should vote for those who most closely align with His values, knowing we'll find none who are perfect. Abstaining from voting may feel good but that is all it is a good feeling, vanity. By not voting we're doing nothing but possibly helping the more evil option into office. So by not voting you are in fact voting whether you want to accept that fact or not.
Many may bring up Eph 5:11 that tells us to "take no part in it", (evil), but here in the US we're forced into choosing the lesser of two or three evils. There's no such thing as abstaining from voting and it not having an effect on an election. I'm not sure how I can make this more clear, when people don't vote they are in fact voting. Not voting may make someone feel good and like they've not taken part but please think critically for just a moment. If you're not voting allows a far greater evil to take power what should that tell you, by not making your voice heard what are you really doing?
Eze 33:8-9 come to mind and what we're told about inaction and it's result.
Yes there are degrees of evil and some are far worse than others, just look at what they support or not and then make the best informed decision possible.
An example right now is both sides support abortion, which is murder of the unborn, but one side supports it even up to and after birth.
You tell me which is more evil as both are abhorrent but we have a duty to choose, inaction is not a Biblically viable option.
When the Apostle Paul wrote about governments he was writing during a time of centralized power, emperors and monarchies.
One of the things that still applies in our situation today is prayer for those in power to hopefully see them converted to true followers of His Way or at least used and guided by Him.
We're a Constitutional Republic and every citizen of both this nation and His kingdom has a duty to make their voices heard as to the direction the nation takes.
We can use that voice and our votes to further His values as best we can or watch as it all falls apart.
You tell me which seems more aligned with His Word and instructions to us.
    Just something to chew on.
    Take care and God Bless...

It's much worse than that. Evolution is scientifically impossible; there's no scientific chance that even a single cell organism could evolve into existence. Much less evolve into an animal. We need only apply the scientifically held laws of entropy, statistics or other normal means of interpretating evidence, in order to debunk evolution. Only an overriding presupposition, such as blind faith in materialism, can even begin to ignore an otherwise natural, scientific interpretation of the evidence. Yet that's what we observe among evolutionary scientists to date. To that end, these evolutionists have been forced to adopt infinite universes, for which there is no evidence, in order to eliminate the obvious need for a Creator. Talk about "confounding the wisdom of the wise"! So the creation of matter, energy, physical laws, order and life-itself become the product of chance, if and only if, we grant infinite universes. And even in that unscientific faith, one less than infinite blows up the religion.

Well, my favourite old testament "story" is Elijah and God against the Baal prophets. Just epic. I don't remember deep diving into the Bible as a child, but I had good sunday school teatchers, good youth pastors and grew up in a household where questions about faith were allowed, well recieved and taken seriously, so the sunday service preaching was always discussed after coming home from church, and I guess that just made many Bible themes stick by osmosis. Nowadays kids faces are stuck to a cell phone though so I guess theres more of a challenge, but I still think it's a good idea to try it, we often had seriously fun and interresting discussions, and it makes you curious as a child about what else there might be in the Bible to discover.

The following are many of the scriptures which most modern churches refuse to teach to the congregation:
    1 Corinthians 5:11-13
11 But now I am writing to you that you must not associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler. Do not even eat with such people.
12 What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside?
13 God will judge those outside. “Expel the wicked person from among you."
    Titus 1:9-13
9 He must hold firmly to the trustworthy message as it has been taught, so that he can encourage others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it.
10 For there are many rebellious people, full of meaningless talk and deception, especially those of the circumcision group.
11 They must be silenced, because they are disrupting whole households by teaching things they ought not to teach-and that for the sake of dishonest gain.
12 One of Crete’s own prophets has said it: “Cretans are always liars, evil brutes, lazy gluttons.”
13 This saying is true. Therefore rebuke them sharply, so that they will be sound in the faith
    2 John 9-10
9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
    Romans 16:17-18
17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.
18 For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.
    Acts 20:28-30
28 Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood.
29 I know that after I leave, wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock.
30 Even from your own number, men will arise and distort the truth in order to draw away disciples after them.
    2 Corinthians 6:14
6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
    Matthew 7:6
6 Give not the things that are holy unto the dogs, neither cast your pearls before swine. For they will trample them under their feet and turn back again to rend you.

    • @wingsfromheaven8788
      @wingsfromheaven8788 16 дней назад +2

Well as you may know 'Protestant' is simply a helpful label attributed to those who call themselves Christians because they trust solely in the 'imputed' righteousness of Christ for their Justification before God. While Roman Catholic and Greek Orthodox doctrine rejects this Protestant view while teaching that Christ's 'infused' righteousness through the process of Sanctification justifies a man before God. Man's works then, are either: meritless duty out of gratitude as fruit of the Gospel and rebirth. Or man's works become meritorious payment to God in hopes of salvation as a reward through the santifying work of Christ in us. These doctrines are so opposed yet foundational to the Gospel message, that Protestants were historically those inside Roman Catholicism that sought to reform/recover what they believed to be the true Gospel of grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, to the glory of God alone. So if getting the gospel right is important to our salvation, then extrabiblical labels such as these become important tools in distinguishing between radically different Gospel messages. Since this schism was no doubt wrought by God, each 'Christian' therfore must decide which type of Savior they trust in for their Justification before God. A Savior that is the propitiation for sin, or a Savior that makes you a partner in that payment for sin.

Between the other books. We were ordered to go to Sunday school. I always asked my self, why should we hear about this story's about an other country( Israël). Later I needed a Bible for school when I was thirteen. Slowly I began to discover things. My mother was very disappointed that my brothers didn't go to church anymore. I think it probably was there own fault. We never talked about faith and so on.
Now I know whats it all about and that the Bible is true, thank fully, but my brothers say it is nonsense.

    • @katierucker2870
      @katierucker2870 16 дней назад

I think that’s why it’s so important for parents to read the Bible with their children and actually get them to ask questions to understand the faith more. Not many kids who grow up in church are encouraged by their parents or youth pastors to read and ask questions. Just pray that Jesus will soften your brothers’ hearts. I’m not saying parents will be perfect though. I grew up with a believing mom (wasn’t really walking with the Lord at the time) and a skeptic dad. I didn’t grow up in church. However, my grandma taught me some things about Jesus, but I didn’t have a relationship with Him at that time. I grew in public schools and worldly knowledge and my mom tried her best. I think it’s important not to force your kids but just direct them and be good examples of Christ to them. I came to Christ at 20 years old and have had a personal relationship for almost nine years now. We all go through hills and valleys, but pray to the Lord to have His hand on them. The Lord had His hand on me and saved me. If He could do that for me, He could do it for your brothers. I’ll be praying.

I recently learned (like this morning) how in Genesis 4:3, the phrase "in the process of time" most likely refers to Sabbath ("Saturday" in today's time) by most scholars, definitely worth AiG looking into since their emphasis is on Genesis 1-11 (rightfully IMHO since it is quoted so often by the Messiah). One thing that I would like to point out is that "Rocket Rob" indicates at around 4:54 minutes how pagan deities have names "Thor," "Zeus," but shouldn't that indicate that our Heavenly Father ALSO has a Name and one which was removed roughly 7,000 times from His own words? You should let that sink in, the most important entity of all times and His Name was removed, replaced with titles (L-rd, G-d)? Thanks, AiG for making these weekly broadcasts available for all to view and see the problems in so many articles out there!

5 Behold ye among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvelously: for I will work a work in your days which ye will not believe, though it be told you.

There is no old and New Testament it is the HEBREW SCRIPTURES AND THE GREEK AND CHRISTIAN TESTAMENT
The whole Bible includes both as one 😊

So the snake was not really a snake in the Garden? If the snake stood for something else metaphorically speaking, then why did God determine to "punish" the innocent animal snakes for all eternity? And didnt God create the snake kind and saw that they were very good? It makes no sense at all!!!!

And yet in the US we have folks who desire to have Bible taught in schools...which would mean each parent would be 'permitting' someone whose doctrines they don't know explain what the Bible says and means to their kids. Even I who left Christianity decades ago can see this would (or at least should) be seen as a problem.

Anyone wonder why the church invented doctrine that we don’t need the first covenant (Old Testament)? Christ said until Heaven and Earth pass away not one yod or tittle will pass from The Law. Christ, for whom we are named “Christian” taught Torah to all. The problem is the idea that we don’t need every word from Genesis through Revelation.

I came to Christ through Campus Crusade for Christ. In the 60s & and 70s, they used Scofield Reference Bible. In its footnotes, it placed a gap between the 1st and 2nd verses of Genesis chapter one. They were the conservative Christian group of that time. It took me until the 1980s, when I was finally introduced to ICR before it became clear that the 6 days of creation were six ordinary days.
It took more decades for me to discover that the toledoth statements were signature blocks at the end of eyewitness statements. When you discovered that Moses was the compiler of Genesis and not the author, it makes it really become more meaningful.

There's nothing wrong with the word "story." Stories can be true, and often are. There's no need to change the meaning of a word just because some people misunderstand it's meaning.

I agree. I work in finance and will be asked "what's the story this month" when I'm explaining our financial results. They're not asking me to say something fictional.

Anyone who has read "stories/myths" and the Bible should be smart enough to see the difference. Myths don't contain such detailed information, like who died when, when the next important child was born, when they died, and it all adds up to the proper number of years to show when the flood began, the year Methuselah died, and other such details, which many have been found in archaeological digs; myths don't contain evidence. For instance, Jonah. So many people think the story of Jonah was just a myth. But he is mentioned in the historical sections of the Bible known as Kings. In 2 Kings 14:25 it says, "He restored the coast of Israel from the entering of Hamath unto the sea of the plain, according to the word of the Lord God of Israel, which he spake by the hand of his servant Jonah, the son of Amittai, the prophet, which was of Gathhepher." The Bible verifies itself everywhere if you just know how and where to look.

*Anyone who has read "stories/myths" and the Bible should be smart enough to see the difference. Myths don't contain such detailed information, like who died when, when the next important child was born, when they died,*
So uh... what does it say then about other religions that have similar mythology, details included? You really only try making this argument because it's _your_ myths on the line.
*and it all adds up to the proper number of years to show when the flood began, the year Methuselah died, and other such details, which many have been found in archaeological digs; myths don't contain evidence.*
In reality, the archaeological data shows that the ancient biblical lineages didn't exist. The ancient Hebrews were simply one among many Canaanite ethnicities, Noah never existed, the flood couldn't have happened and the closest we have to a _real_ "Noah's flood" was a localized flood centered on a relatively nearby city, Shuruppak.
*For instance, Jonah. So many people think the story of Jonah was just a myth. But he is mentioned in the historical sections of the Bible known as Kings. In 2 Kings **14:25** it says, "He restored the coast of Israel from the entering of Hamath unto the sea of the plain, according to the word of the Lord God of Israel, which he spake by the hand of his servant Jonah, the son of Amittai, the prophet, which was of Gathhepher." The Bible verifies itself everywhere if you just know how and where to look.*
"MUH BIBLE PROVES MUH BIBLE PROVES MUH BIBLE PROVES" isn't a good thing dude, it's literally the _ur_ example of fallacious circular reasoning in these sorts of discussions.

I want to clarify that a modern IUD IS a contraceptive. The Mirena carries a small amount of hormone on it. "The hormone released into the uterus by Mirena prevents pregnancy by: Thickening cervical mucus, preventing sperm from entering the uterus.Inhibiting sperm
movement so it’s more difficult to reach and fertilize an egg
Thinning the lining of your uterus
Perhaps copper IUDs work differently, but i think you should check more into this claim. Personally, i think an IUD like o described is much better than other methods, mostly because it is very dependable and has a almost nonexistent failure rate, leading to fewer abortions, as opposed to higher failure rate of oral contraceptive and condoms. I want to be clear that i am a Christian and very conservative and pro life. I worked as a high risk labor nurse and ive see a lot of myths float around anout womens health. I hope you will receive this in a spirit of kindness and truth. Thank you for what you do ❤

I don’t know much about IUDs but I had to stop taking birth control pill. Not only did they make me feel crazy in a sense, but I also learned that it is possible for them to kill a fertilized egg, which is a baby and life nonetheless. My mom took birth control during her marriage with my dad for quite some time, and when he was stationed out to Japan (marines) my mom stopped it when he was gone. She then got pregnant with me. It’s not really a common thing to happen, but I don’t trust any forms of birth control. I can understand why you might think it’s a myth, but pharmaceutical companies have been doing sketchy things for the longest time now and so has our healthcare. I’m sure you’re a wonderful nurse though and I know there’s still some good doctors out there. I believe in good medicine practice, but our nation definitely has been doing a lot of pill pushing for ridiculous reasons.

Thank you for pointing this out. It's exactly what I was thinking, and I hope the truth about the Mirena IUD will ease people's minds who need the device for medical issues. It is not an abortive, but a contraceptive.

Not only should people learn their whole Bible from beginning to end, but they should also learn about the false translations, the ones that take verses out of scripture or change the text. For instance, I'm a KJV reader, but most people today don't read that version. The NIV leaves out verses like Acts 8:37. It's important to know the Bible, what every book is about, learn a little about the other religions that call themselves Christian, and learn about the versions of the Bible that are not correct and change the whole meaning of the most important doctrines.

One of the qualities of a good preacher/pastor etc is to bring people to the knowledge of The Truth. By omitting the Old Testament and key doctrines, gaps in understanding grow.
Read Romans 5 and 11, for example, and the root of those chapters begin in Genesis.

If you don't understand Genesis 1-11 you can't possibly understand the rest of God's word. It's all a historical document of God's word. Our Lord is constantly talked about in the old testament. John macarthur is the greatest at expository of God's word.
