For one time ever in my life, I got two friends and my brother to play this and we completed it. We threw a lot of our pocket money into that arcade machine but it really felt worth it for all four of us to complete the game together. I played as Blood, my brother as Boomer, my best mate as Hawk and our poor other friend to play as the unpopular Sledge (due to his rubbish flying headbutt nobody liked him) but my other mate was only playing together with us on our insistence. Twas a satisfying day.
I used to play "Vendetta" back in the day! Good old times back when there were quality arcades to visit. Awesome playthrough! A bit chaotic at many points, but mad fun nonetheless!
I've played every beat em up you can think of and this is one of my favourites. i didnt warm to it at first because unlike most games in this genre you cant jump. however because this has less of a ninja feel and more of a brawler feel it suits it. if you enjoy beat em ups where you can use weapons and the environment to your advantage this ranks amongst the best. you can throw guys through windwos and off balconys, you can shoot a dog with a shotgun for crying out loud, its crazy. and the fact you can play with 3 other people makes it 10 times better.
That "ooww!" scream sound effect @3:27 and also at @3:34 sounds awfully familiar. It's also used in Metal Slug when you kill enemies with the flame thrower :D
YES! I have been looking for this game for days - I remember being 7 years old playing this in some shed in a caravan pakr in co.wexford as it rained outsitde. good times, good times.

I liked this sequel better than the original Crime Fighters. I liked the first game but what made the first Crime Fighters annoying was the declining health timer. Also this sequel has 4 different characters each with different moves while the first one has 4 of the same character but with different pants colors.
You can get a recalbox from Ebay. The one I bought has this game. Also, if you have a smartphone, you can download the Retro Game Center app if you have an android phone, and type in Crime Fighters 2 in the search box, and it should come up and be available for download.

You have to play the 2-player version (different rom set). In the 4-player version, you select by which joystick you're playing on (1-4) just like in Ninja Turtles or The Simpsons.

I love that you can keep your weapons when you go to a new screen. I don't think I've seen a single other beat-'em-up that lets you do that. A shame the character design for the protagonists is so bland-why did all of them have to have color-coded t-shirts tucked into jeans? They look like they should be trying to sell me a service plan to go with my ink cartridge rather than going around beating people up.
I see they removed the "gay" level in this version. If anyone wants to see the Gay level - ruclips.net/video/JVZrAp-T5fA/видео.html obviously I don't condone this but it was the 90's and peoples perception has changed.
