And though the uncensored version has those hilarious hard gay enemies, the censored version is also great, as replacing the hard gays with the chain-wielding punks also provides an opportunity to use the chain in the first part of the third level.
It's a shame that this never got a home console port. Cool game with a great soundtrack. Maybe GameSack could add this in one of their “Left in the Arcade ” series.
hulk hogan, JCVD, Mr T and......... Muhammad Ali? Can't be Mike Tyson. Wesley Snipes has that cool look but Muhammad Ali has the boxing only style so I think it's meant to be him. Blood is the one I always played as.
I witnessed a guy come up to the arcade when i was a kid and he literally defeated the whole game on a single life. It took him 3 levels to be hit for the first time, and only because he got distracted talking to me. There was no one at the shop on the day, i was the only witness.
Final Fight had great weapons. The problem was they disappear when dropped once or twice. Super Double Dragon had the best. They stayed with you until you transitioned to a new section of a level.

Oh man, I finally found this game! So there was this camp ground that my family and I used to go to, and there was an arcade there. I must have been 5 or 6 at the time, and this older kid asked if i wanted to play this game with him. We beat the game, and I felt like the baddest 5 year old around hahaha. The only things I remembered about the game, was that a boss had a chain, and the cabinet had a motorcycle and a girl on it. Well, the cabinet doesn't look as cool as I remembered it, but at least the chick on the cabinet is hot lol.

23:15 and 23:28 are unforgivable to me - his attack pattern at this point is simply to it to the opposing corner and prep a screen wide player killing wipe, then be vulnerable for a split sec before performing said wipe over and over until any respawned player lands a hit. And 23:28 is FULL ON BULLSHIT. The boss is actually dead at this point - he has no health in his lifebar, and none of you land a hit after this point. But, he only keels over after performing ANOTHER wipe making three of you lose a full life, the fourth only barely avoiding it. It wouldn't be nearly as bad if the wipe only hit standing players as the attack puts your character in the ground, or if his attack speed was halved so players could make a run for him, or if the attack had a pause after each individual wipe - but the combination of these things as well as each hit (of MANY) dealing two pips is just guaranteed death if you don't land that timed hit.
i enjoyed this game. you cant jump but you get used to it because theres so many other things you can do..plus why would big muscly dudes jump in a street fight?...
Final Fight is from 1989 while this game is from 1991. It's worth noting that this is a sequel to Crime Fighters, which was also from 1989, and possibly came out first. It doesn't look exactly like this game, though.

I love this game. I don't know if a remake would work sadly. The 4 heroes are based off of famous action icons at the time (early 90s and late 80s relevance). They are all colour co-ordinated and with silly tight tops. It's great as it is in it's endearing cheesiness but I think these beat em ups belong in their era. It's like they were trying to remake Walter Hills The Warriors but that film worked for 1979 when no mobile phones existed and stuff like that.
I'm not too familiar with playing games on Android, but it should be playable with MAME4Droid. You would also need to get vendetta.zip in addition to the emulator.
ok, I see that you're right. Unfortunately, this particular version of the game was not added to MAME until 0.164. This was newer than the versions of MAME I can use for netplay. I also saw that this video was uploaded shortly before MAME 0.164 was even out.
There already are videos on RUclips which feature that version, such as the video titled "Crime Fighters 2 / Vendetta - Arcade - 1080p - Played to the end". The only way I would redo this is if I can play the Z version through the entire game with 4 players, but I don't see it as something I will be able to do any time soon.
Playing with infinite lives you will eventually defeat every enemy, but in a normal game if you lose all your lives fefore saving her, the olny thing that happens is a "game over".
this can be played online for free. its ok, tons of variety in the weapons but doesnt flow as well as say Final Fight, not as smooth and the hits dont land in the same satisfying way. reminded me more of double dragon in the gameplay than FF.

The "OWWWWWWWW!" sound effect heard when you defeat enemies at times was the sound effect used on the classic Bop It from 1996 when you lost.
