You two have done an absolutely brilliant job with Sarinda . Your attention to detail and not taking any shortcuts with her restoration are admirable. She will be an incredible ship when shes finished. Congratulations on what you've accomplished so far
It's great to see you two having fun at the end. A great lighthearted production and celebration. I shall clink, clink, gulp, cough again tonight, to join in your celebration.
02/17/2023 Hello Ship. Great Job guys. Time for music and dancing. Twinkle lights and crep paper ribbons and bows. The gray looks like she is back in service. Don usa
Congrats on the sole upgrades so far. Bags for moving ballast. Repainting, like the white effect. Even surfaces to walk on. Temporary yet eye candy and easy to walk on. Fun and games, 60 kg. Excavating and nailing. Good work.
You 2 are a Hoot !!!!!I dont even watch because of the vessel , i watch because of you 2 , i think your accents are cool and your goofy banter about silly things is sweet !! Your like a comedy team !If you had a TV show i'd watch !!!!!!! At least you didn't call it " WHO SHIVES A GIT " I'd LMAO if you did !
Fantastic job you guys have done Sarina proud . What a change I have been on your channel since the start, fantastic and amazing all of the help you have had from the rest of your crew. looking forward to the next steps. You both are so happy with the great progress and it shows, well done Stay safe and healthy Ed 40 S of Vegas
There are premade muck shovels with holes in them. But by drilling a few holes through a regular shovel head it will help the muck release from the shovel. The shovel head is hardened steal and will dull a drill bit rather quickly though.
This channel is a joy to watch. Thank you for your cheerful hardworking endeavours. You show such consideration and gratitude to all who participate and contribute, it is lovely to see.
Can ya believe it, first 20 feet whith another 52 feet to go, such cheerfulness displayed. The real fun comes with the deck and upper cabin works, then the make it liveable once the the rest is done.
You guys are amazing. I've been watching from the beginning and can't imagine not seeing this through to the end. Thanks for the laughs. Cheers from Canada.
Something to try on the dust port on the circular saw, especially as you have another 50 feet to go. Try an old sock , the light fluffy ones Gemma might have on her feet, but not if she's still in them. Put it over the dust outlet with a piece of tape or cable tie. It will catch a lot of the sawdust, not it all ; but its shouldn't get in the way if in an awkward spot. I use one on my circular saw. I raid the wife's sock drawer ,she's got hundreds. I think I married a centipede. 😂
Well done guys, such a landmark achievement. Well done Mason, you are so lucky to have Simon and Gemma as parents, don’t worry if you are not as practical as they are, you are showing and developing your skills in other ways. Great parenting skills.
Y’all have done a wonderful job on her so far! Congratulations! I would seriously think about fixing the deck above all that work you did to protect it. 😎
You guys are incredible!! We watch every blog- and don't comment too much. But this milestone must be so satisfying, and gives all us watchers much pleasure! Thanks for your energy - just wonderful!!
Templates. " ...Then they are just gone. Nothingness. " A bit like my pension at the end of the month then. It's great to see you pass a milestone like this.
Couple of years back.. dug up 700 kilo of range lead.., 200 mixed kilos of brass bronze copper, 50 kilos of stones, 450 of clean lead. .sold half lead , and mixed metals.. turned the rest .... into 303 .308win and .355 9mm ammo ... Sweet....
I love the way you two work together.. Omg school and kids right? Hey don't you love the ryobi tools? I have alot of them. Their awesome... Peace and love luv you guys.. Keep on truckin! Rolfie
Wow! That floor really puts the finishing touch on a job well done. It looks great and it makes that space look so much larger! You two are doing an amazing job.
Just a thought..... Maybe fill a ballast bag half full of pea gravel and set the lead on top to spread and cushion the load of lead so it wouldn't be banging around on the hull in choppy weather? I love the way you two get along
There’s a few buildings in llandaff Cardiff, that the facade of the buildings are made from ships ballast. (Mind you this is decades ago). When the ships came and loaded up with their cargoes. These stone ballasts were then dumped on the quayside. It looked as some builders back then, have used them in the construction of these buildings. The buildings looks quite good as well 👍
Bless you and all your hard work to save this part of our history of WW2. We own you so much for your hard work, hope to see it one day. 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🍀With all you do in life, and always keep laughing 😂
I'd like to share with you how I make templates for complex shapes. Take your sheet of brown stuff there, rip it into strips about 80-100mm wide. Then use a hot glue gun to glue the pieces together to make up the shape. Mark where the edges touch and use a couple pieces diagonally on the corners to stiffen up the template. I use "cheap" thin plywood. Nice job all around!
Do you need all the ballast? A lighter boat might roll a bit more and be more "lively", but draft and fuel consumption would decrease. Something that you would probably need a marine architect to answer. But that would be an interesting tangent episode!
Yay!! Y’all have worked so hard and it’s looking amazing! When Simon smiles I can definitely see where Emilia gets her smile from 🥰 I can’t wait to see the next project
Like a lot here say, its so much fun seeing you working, with fun and jokes but continuously working very hard to get work done. Congrats with getting to this milestone, still a lot to go but the ship is looking better and better. Hand in hand finishing the video, quite emotional :-) love you 2 :-)
There is an neat way of making a template of odd shapes using thin strips and hot glue. To follow the shape and trace back on to the larger board. Not sure if there is better technical way of describing it.
It's so good to see the old boat getting a new life....Do you run the main engines every now and then, to help prevent the diesel bugs forming in the fuel injection system... i can't wait to see the day you take her out on a sea trial...
If you ever get bored (& energy prices come down), you could recast the lead into blocks incorporating a stainless steel hoop, thus making lifting it a whole lot easier.
I think it would be cool to cut out/fabricate new metal quadrants to like-for-like replace the old rusted ones; arguably, you will have to replace the weight if you don't replace the metal bits, but the historical integrity of having them in there is surely significant...
Your courage, enthusiasm and hard work is inspiring. I am sure this has been very tough so far. Congratulations for all your victories and Hod bless you.
Just stumbled upon your site while watching a canal boat program. I'm in America, and became quite interested in the narrow boats a couple years ago. Definitely a bucket list item. I applaued your commitment to your dream. Wish I were there, I would love to help you work on her. Much luck in your adventure.
Amazing work. You two are great. I love your videos, your humor and solutions. Wish I could visit you and help one or two days but it is just too far and travel is just too costly now-a-days. Take care and God bless.
Even I felt good, seeing what you all have accomplished, where's Robert ? btw that's quite the milestone. Boat come a long way, since you's started this project. Congrats. To you all. Time to have a little celebration...like Simon said, if you can get that deck done this summer that's would be amazing! Then it would be time for a real party !!! cheers have a good one.
We all know that knackered deck came close to sinking Sarinda. Summer isn’t far away. Hopefully you can prepare the new beams and get them fitted quickly this year.
You two have done an absolutely brilliant job with Sarinda . Your attention to detail and not taking any shortcuts with her restoration are admirable. She will be an incredible ship when shes finished. Congratulations on what you've accomplished so far
The decking makes it look like there was is so much room.

Well done guys, such a landmark achievement.
Well done Mason, you are so lucky to have Simon and Gemma as parents, don’t worry if you are not as practical as they are, you are showing and developing your skills in other ways. Great parenting skills.
You have both done with a little help from your friend's a fantastic job. Such a pleasure to watch such enthusiasm. BZ.

The Sole looks fantastic !!! Give it that retro look with some "Shag Carpeting"
Yay! Congratulations on hitting this milestone! Sillyness was well earned!!
Tip. You can put your wet paintbrush in a plastic bag and the paint on the brush won't dry. Ready to use the next time.
Brilliant. Getting there. How come you've only got 70k subs. Your hard work and enthusiasm deserves three times that.
Congratulations on 20 feet done!! Great achievement!!
Totally looking forward to summer and the deck done..water proofing the old girl..
Good on you Gemma. My wife is the same when it comes to our daughter if anybody does something wrong the mamma bear comes out.👍👍👍

Great job, btw. I love seeing old boats being saved from the wreckers.
Just a thought..... Maybe fill a ballast bag half full of pea gravel and set the lead on top to spread and cushion the load of lead so it wouldn't be banging around on the hull in choppy weather? I love the way you two get along
Once you guys haul the boat out, you're going to spend a lot of time chuckling about the mud-times. Major ball-ache now thought!
It’s great to see surrinder is getting to be almost pampered.
That bilge at the end was almost clinical .

Love seeing you both having fun. 🎊 🎉 I just can’t believe how much room you have in there. I think you should make that area the honeymoon suite 😂
Thanks for letting us share your fun ❤
You two were very silly in this video! 🤣
Great finish to a major milestone. I suspect when the weather gets nice the ceiling and deck will be high on your priority list.
Cheers (from the USA)

With Simon all the way with his view on many of the teachers currently staffing our schools.
Also, congrats for standing up for your child. I am a teacher and I know some educators are bonkers.
