I don't remember all the fuss and hysteria when GM, Dodge/Ram, and Ford was and still is having endless engine issues. I bought a 2023 Tundra SR5, 4x4, Crew Max and have no fears or issues of any kind after a year with this truck. And just like I do with ANY brand, I purchased the extended warranty to cover anything for 7 years. This is my first Toyota and I am NOT disappointed, especially after owning GM, Dodge/Ram, and Ford with all THEIR recalls and failures.

Why are some engines failing with low mileage, while others are taking 50 to 60 k miles? @samuelgatton 3 месяца назад

you have got to get your wording right here. you say multiple times that this is engine debris and it is in fact not. this is left over machining debris that is left in the block or channels of the affected area(s) that has not been properly cleaned out after the machining process has been completed and was apparently missed by qc techs across the world. that aside, to me that means that it was so small that it was missed by the human eye and or small enough that it was not noticed by human inspection, but was just enough to break off from the engine running and the pressure inside the running engine and cause issues as you said in the previous videos - traveling in to the journal from the oil passage way and becoming fused to the main bearing due to the massive pressure and heat produced inside the engine in that particular area. if this is the case, that is a very simple fix to correct at the factory, however not so much once the damage has been done and the engine has been run. I did also want to mention that though the official issues root cause has been publicly stated as, "left over machining debris" it may also be something that they have not yet announced and will not announce until they come out with the official recall from toyota/lexus themselves in the stated mid to late July 2024 time frame. Remember this has all happened before too on many of the very same engines that we now call "bulletproof", maybe not a main bearing blowing and to this extent which is why it is being made such a huge deal of, but there have been many a recall on the engines that everyone swears by now and it seems that how soon people forget there have been and always will be issues and hiccups along the way with anything that has not been tested and proven for years and you are correct in saying that we learn from our mistakes and make better the development of the future products from said mistakes.

Nice condescending video! We have Tundras on our forums that’s been through multiple short blocks. So Toyota keeps rebuilding motors with the same fragments in new short blocks? 😂😂😂😂

AHH YES! The 4th Prattle of "Tundras in their 5th and 6th short block" when that is NOT TRUE! No source!

You are the most interesting Toyota spokesman & defense lawyer. It appears your version of the cover-up is more logical. I can’t wait for Toyota to put Prius truck engine in Tundra. Hey it’s still one car and five trucks/suv. ;) 😂

“Overbuilt”??? Please explain to me how the Toyota parts are stronger and more expensive? All I heard is your statements and nothing to back it up. Please let us know.
    Great job of mansplaining everything.

Well... as explained in ultra slow-motion in the video, a normal main bearing cap is much cheaper and weaker than using a crankshaft bedplate. This would be called over-engineering. Toyotas refusal to use plastic parts in engines etc is also sound evidence as well. There's an entire separate radiator, cooling circuit and water pump just for the turbos on this engine. Yes we call that overengineering 😉...

Because you say it’s weaker and cheaper must make it true without any explanation. Gotcha

Worldwide people will see that just because you change political parties doesn’t mean the economy will get back better overnight. They distinctly told people that Covid would reck us for a while to come due to all the money printing. Now they can’t handle it. 1:48 that design is still flawed because it is gimpy 4 journal main with little structure and made of shit quality alloy. Its fine for underpowered setups but simply put any person who has experience tuning and building high performance engines know this doesnt to hold up to the darnest abuse. Im not wasting my time watching any more of this video or replying to you since you want to spill faulty information defending a corporation that uses the their reputation to scam the consumer.

How many main bearing journals should a V6 have? 😆 "Flawed design" that's been around and used on multiple engines by every manufacturer for decades now? No evidence of "faulty design" 😉
