How can one actively and effectly learn in these auditorium sized classrooms?
Take notes & study them(?) Seriously, doesn’t matter where you go to college, the info. is generally the same from one microeconomics class to the other. With Ivy Leagues you’re paying for the name, that’s it. 95% of Employers don’t give a 💩 where (or if) you go to college. What matters is experience & knowing how to do the job you’re hired for. These fancy liberal arts colleges w/ $70k/year tuition probably wont even tell students that 😂

MarineBeast_86 employers do care. Would you rather have someone from Harvard or some community college. The bottom line is that school dosent matter if you are really good at something, but if we are looking at two people with no experience and equal credentials you are gonna take the ivy student over the regular college student every time. Plus the connections you make fast track you in your career
Literally all depends on the professor, some of them keep the content as dry and boring as possible, while others engage their audience and create connections to the content. Plus taking effective notes in your own words while creating side notes based on application of the content always works for me. Then reading your shit over when you get home

Honestly, all these schools are just hyped. The schools are.rated by the deans of all other schools, not by third parties. I have to meet people from Harvard and Yale last year at my internship. They knew nothing. What they had was money and connection. Most get into these schools through legacy admission which or self brings down the quality
that's life. Rich people have connection but that there are ppl out there who got into these universities through hard work and discipline

My parents worked even harder to get me there. and I went to Princeton because their generous financial aid made it cheaper than Rutgers. I also know I had a ton of luck and I'm grateful for it. I'm sorry you had to meet and talk with the pricks and get such a bad impression.. I'm sure you'd get along with some of them. I'm sure you're a nice person, Life will be better for you if you're spreading less spite online peace

Ofc having asian parents becoming a doctor is the first thing my father tells me...i mean i don’t mind ? However, i don’t feel passionate about it...i’m still trying to..”find myself” but i feel so lost :/
Don't just go to university. You'll waste money and achieve nothing. Go with a specific career in mind. Can't decide. Take trade. Apprenticeships pay as you learn. It can be a backup in life.

To be honest with you man accreditation is what matters most about university selection which in turn helps students be competitive when job hunting at my internship last summer with a fortune 100 company I got to work alongside people from UCLA all the way to Cornell where according to Linkedin their are people from your school that work at with my employer as well so if your an engineering major name and prestige of school doesn't really matter. If anything that guy or girl that went to the community college and more affordable in state public university has as equally as many job opportunities as you, undergrad programs between many universities teach you the same concepts that tend to be accredited by the same academic bodies such as ABET for engineering.
