We have an older iseki as a mower. Brilliant piece of kit. Don't ask me why, but the secret to starting it is crank it over once, glow it, then start it. It's been that way for the 15 years we've had it. Keep meaning to have a look at it one day

I used to be a frequent visitor to the steam fair, helping folks out with their engines then I told 'em all to get sodded when one bloke thought I had to pay HIM for the privilege of working my nuts off on his engine as it was always a drink in my sky rocket or maybe a few beers in the tent as I was a whizz with eccentric timings and gland packing... then my steam tools got nicked losing all my King Dick big big stuff like sledge slogger ring wrenches I got from a mate who cleared them out of Stratford BR depot and I just stopped going esp as it became soooooo expensive to even sniff at the place and pretty much the price gougers ruined it for everyone. I learned my trade at Kew Bridge which means I got to play with the 90 inch beam engine and a marine diesel big as some folks's house hehe

Did you both know there was a (Austin/Morris) B.M.C Mini Tractor which had a diesel version of the A Series engine
They used the BMC 1500 diesel in many things, including tractors and the Morris Marina!

Funnily the beetle and the mk1 gti got hardly any interest, the most random thing seem to do well anyway it’s what we have to fix at the time 👍
