seems like a shoot or funnel type guide thing would keep from having to be so cute with the controls, most of those trees are wobbling like crazy. It does rip pretty good when you hit it right though.
Take this advice from someone who does this professionally under power lines all day. Manufacturer quality is important for these mulcher heads, a cheap head is going to take a lot less abuse deadheading and is overall going to wear out a lot faster the more expensive higher-end heads such as shearx are actually really tough heads and have been through a lot of abuse I've seen them out in the field lifting tire machines with just those heads and they have a lot of really neat features. As for the teeth keep them sharp maintain them otherwise they will begin to get a curve in them and you will end up losing a lot of teeth life when you try to sharpen them the next time. Change teeth regularly as well depending on your terrain either use pounders which are meant for Rocky terrain and used to go to dirt or use knives if you need high production but only in very good ground where you're not going to be geeting a lot of rocks. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask me
@@AndrewCamarata yea, if it was cedar trees the mulch would take 15 years to decompose. ripping trees out of the ground and throwing into the fire leaves the cleanest look by far
@@AndrewCamarata so it depends on the machine and location. Here in Oregon it's currently level 3 fire danger, so no burning and we cannot burn brush or trees under power lines. Heads designed for smaller excavators (less than 250hp) are not great for trees much over 10" to a foot. Many heads also have a certain working angle that they perform better at and of course hydraulics are always a factor. If you want to get more power to a cutting head so that you could take whole trees you would need a power pack to replace your counter weight. We have a CAT 538 kited with a 4' head, it's mainly used for the worse terrain we see but is a beast. However cat reprogrammed it to divert more power to the hydraulics when the head is on so the travel speed and swing power is terrible. The best way to operate a head in that situation is to only turn it on when working with the head and turn it off for movements. I really wish I could show you how we use them and what for because we actually do very little tree removal with the head and focus mainly on woody brush. You could check out the recent shorts for the channel DirtDustMud and that would give you a small view but there is a lot more.

@@AndrewCamarata You can get wood chippers that mount on a tractor PTO. They work really well, woodland Mills makes a nice one, hydraulic infeed, 8" capacity.
TIM from Canada suggestions even if you were getting wood chips on your driveway eventually mother nature is going to blow them away or they are just going to be decompressed into the landscape so I would not worry about getting your wood chips everywhere. @@dvandkq That's the old one on this video got burn... Tha's why @timothystevenhoward says RIP Hyundai 235 in 2024. I believed this is the last video with that machine the day before it got burn.....
That mulcher surely works as nice as the small one. I'm sure it will helpful that that driveway now has a few less trees that are extremely close to it or leaning into it. But now i wonder if the new Hyundai can run that mulcher and use the thumb at the same time since the mulcher clearly has the option to "grab" stuff with the thumb. Another attachment that could be a nice addition is a Tiltrotor. Especially for buckets and similar this can, together with a skilled operator like Andrew, transform the 235 into a swiss army knife.
If your new 235 has an extra aux hydraulic circuit available. Id reattach the hydraulic door flap thingy. It'll help with the chip debris flying everywhere and It should give you a place to feed the trees like if you were putting it in a wood chipper, without it wiggling everywhere and making 3 to 4ft "splinters".
It does, I set up my tilt bucket to work off that so I can still use the thumb. I am sending this mulcher head back. Its faster to pull the trees out then bring them to firewood/burn piles.
@@AndrewCamarata That's a shame...I run flailmowers/mulchers often at work and its usually way faster to mulch the trees then drive them back and forth and burn them, unless you got a second hand to transport them...then again if you got a second hand, you can run a second cutter lol. I was going to suggest when cutting to cut opposite of the flail mower, i.e. swing to the right when cutting instead of the left, usually cuts way better and faster, also doesn't nearly drag the mulcher into the tree/stump like cutting to the left does, such as at 31:50 . And rocks + mulcher = instant dull/chipped blades. Not worth trying to mulch stumps all the way down to the dirt in your area as a single rock can ruin your teeth if you aren't careful, so it might be better anyways for you to rip them up and back fill the holes I guess. I would say ripping the stumps up might cause erosion issues on those slopes, but you got plenty of rock to go around so it probably won't be an issue for you. Been watching your videos since the "replacing the mounts on a bulldozer blade" video, love your videos and hope to see many more in the future!

Perfect timing. Not much doing tonight. Yeah, thanks Andrew. Sit back and relax for the video. Yes perfect.
Thanks again Andrew for another great video. It´s like a Huyndai Excavator Memorial....💔
Seeing you spend time with your dad was priceless to me and you and him !!
Nice old vid. Glad you got the barn/garage project done.
every truck company needs to give Andrew a truck to stress test before it goes into production =) , Certify it AC rated !! I'd buy that truck !! =)
Delivery guy was terrified and Andrew was like relax I got it... and I can build you a new truck out of spare parts if need be...
Giving that delivery driver a heart attack! hahahah. Good to see another video
Clearly the driver is not a viewer of the channel. 😂
Crazy to think i could watch hours of you mulching trees and be perfectly content.
Guessing this is the mulcher that lead to the unfortunate excavator fire?😢
That fire was started by a busted fuel line not a few wood chips
@@Christoph-sd3zi fuel soaked the chips and that's dangerous. Without Chips, it will be almost nothing I believe
Well he did take the diverters off. 😂
Awesome seeing you getting this attachment! Dealing with all the logs and tree tops definitely took way too much of your time.
Great video!
WAS JUST BINGE WATCHING SOME OF YOUR OLDER VIDEOS AND GOT A NOTIFICATION FOR A NEW VIDEO! RIGHT ON TIME!! WE ALL KNOW YOU'RE EXTREMELY BUSY, JUST WISH YOU WOULD POST MORE VIDEOS. LOVE WATCHING YOUR CHANNEL
WHY ARE YOU YELLING?!
Thanks AC for the new vid...awhile back I asked about some blooper/out-take footage and the shredder unloading fits...I know editing takes alot of your time...the mountain top looks great...keep em coming...🍻
That darn truck seems like a total beast
Andrew, your video quality is the best I’ve seen. The sounds and perspectives are incredible.
This content is truly subversive.
Damn i just got on the toilet great timing
😂 an hour of solitude 🚽 💩
enjoy brother
Legs gonna be purple after an hour pinching a deuce
Dude if u need a skidsteer you are eating too much fiber
Not just a skidloader but one with a bucket 😅😅😅
I wish I lived closer . One or two passes with Andrew towing me and my airboat up and down that road on the trailer and those chips and sticks would be long gone . 330 Hp spinning an 80" three blade prop makes a great leaf blower .
Good to see ya hanging out with your Pops. I sure miss the heck outta mine. He always liked to hang out and pull him up a chair while I worked. Good parents are worth the world man!! Great video
Camarta is the man y'all! One heck of a little empire he is building up there in them hills!
That mulcher sounds like the Tasmanian devil when it winds up
Ah now we see the prelude to the fire. Mulchers of all types are very popular right now. Andrew woke up a LOT of operators to one of the dangers. It is not just eating your arms or throwing debris through the cab.
Doesn’t say much about shipping company! Terrible plan to ship something that heavy on a pine pallet. 😅
it's called cutting ✂️ cost
Best seeding technique I've ever seen! Love it!
That grass grew in great.
Awesome video Andrew!! Well worth the wait. Nice seeing your father.
That thing reminds me of the eraser tool from MS paint. Except for trees. My guess is that Cody barks at things with pull cords because everything with a pull cord is loud, dogs have sensitive hearing, maybe he is yelling at them to be quieter!!
It's hilarious when these truck drivers have such a fit when Andrew is unloading something, they obviously don't know who he is lol
😂😂😂
Well the truck driver is responsible for their truck, He was scared Andrew was going to damage his truck. I was actually nervous too, andrew has been known to break things
Maybe he does know who Andrew is.😮😂
Yeah, Andrew almost dumped that head into the truck.
U may want to put a metal rack over your front window I’ve seen stuff fly off those heads and go right through the window and out the back of the cab just a thought . great machine love it
lol the guy thought you were gonna destroy his truck 😂 little does he know he’s looking at the man the machine ANDREW
Driver won't make that mistake again 😅😅😅😅
Haaaaa
Friggin Andrew is a renegade! Love his stuff
Driver had the iq of a peanut
Always love when Andrew freaks out truck drivers that have clearly never watched your channel.
shows you how selfish he is....and does not care about any other peoples equipment...just damages it....the driver is on the hook for that stuff...true dillhole...
Nice to see your Dad out with you, Andrew. We owe our parents such a debt of gratitude!
Very nice! I figured that you may end up getting a mulcher, just with the amount of trees that you deal with, so this, along with the new Hyundai excavator, worked out awesome. Very cool.
We're does he get the money from
1.43 million subscribers and most videos seeing over a half million views in a month.
That's not our business just enjoy the video
Not sure why this came to mind, but I'm surprised you haven't done camera holding mounts on your truck and equipment yet lmao. Love the 1 hander view out the window of the truck. Thanks for the awesome videos!
Your hyundi is going to catch on fire tomorrow as you didn't cleen the engine bay from leaves and saw dust
I was thinking the same thing when it first got posted.
Andrew, It would be cool if they made a Double Mulcher Head! That way it would pull the tree into the center between the mulchers.
"Bro you bent my truck". AC "You should see my Dodge".
Now the delivery truck has just the right amount of dents.
Lol that dude is not used to the amount of carnage that is just everyday life for Andrew.
Maybe that delivery truck driver needs a radio installed! Then he’d know who he was dealing with.
Didn't he say "This ain't my fault, bro."?
My dodge is getting past the right amount of dents.
Your mountain property look like it requires a lot of maintenance every year....nice to see a tool that makes life a little easier for you....nice job....😊
Hell Yeah! Andrew is back!!!! I was just thinking about you!!!! Good to see you Man, thanks for your work! Take care bloke. L😊
He's not going to touch your penis mate, calm down.
I am reluctant to watch hour long videos but this one was especially good. Everyone is attracted to your videos because they're always so interesting. Thanks for bringing us along on this venture. It must have taken months to record.
Andrew, I think I just figured out where the kindling came from that started that fire. 😮
Yeah, I am not going to run this attachment on the new machine.
Oh yeah! Was thinking the same thing. Sucks it happened, but you live and you learn.
How to prevent it?
@@AndrewCamarataTo be fair, you did use the blower to keep it clean. 🤷♂️
@@AndrewCamarata would a tarpaulin wrapped around the base of the main boom prevent debris from collecting and causing issues, and can be easily removed when not needed.
That mulcher is pretty cool. It saves a lot of time and effort. Much more efficient than taking the trees down and hauling them away.
No shield over the front window would not like to pay for a REPLACEMENT
