I think my next goal will be to win my 5th game.
I won by like 3 or 5 points (less than 10%) against World Eaters played by my first ever opponent a few months prior (our first game I killed _one model_ and was nearly tabled).
Second win was against Space Wolves where I Alpha Struck his warlord, Overwatch wiped an entire unit of wolves, and dominated the midfield.
I’ve come _incredibly_ close against 2 different hyper crypt necron players and an Orks list, I’ve had a draw against a Gene Stealers and a Thousand Sons player.
Been utterly creamed by mechanized guard, swarm tyranids, and Custodes.
Although a sub goal would be to make a distinct melee focused, infiltration focused, and mechanized lists.
I already have a decent infiltration list that just needs some tweaks and the bones of a mechanized list (a knight, 2 lancers, a Redemptor, Impulsor, and a box naught). Plus the foundation of a melee/close quarters list (3 aggressors, 3 blade guard, 5 terminators, 10 Infernus).

Awesome! Sounds like you have played against a great mix of armies already.
I like the idea of trying to amass different styles of the army as well. Have you started to form a preference in the style you like to use?

@@epicflail40ktactics I love the feeling of controlling almost the entire field after deployment using infiltrators, scouts, etc… although that’s gotten me into trouble a few times as it left me a little thin.
As I’ve started to finally get some variety in my army, I _really_ liked my _somewhat_ melee focused build I fought the Orks with (bladeguard, terminators, guilliman, Infernus, etc…).

Yeah it's striking a balance between board control and putting urself in harms way. Nice, i enjoy a bit of melee as well!
