Lyrics
I must be losing my mind
I keep on trying to find a way out
But it's ok you don't lock the door anymore
I, you know I never go out
And you know that I start to forget things
But it's ok they weren't essential anyway
I, and when I start to look back
I feel like I've spent my whole life just kicking round
And not getting in the way
And now, and maybe now I should change
Because I'm starting to lose all my faith
While those around me are beaten down each day.
One of the best songs of all time. It truly is.
totally agree
i love this band and their songs but, only few people appreciate this kind of genre
shoegaze
Loony Linn my dad was the genie in this no jokes/ drummer
Loony Linn raechel earl
I was 23 and this era was amazing
Simply True.
Giants Steps came out 30 years ago today and I still remember my first listen to it. One of my favorite album EVER.
Me too I wish I could remember where those 30 years have gone
Wonderful song. I was a 'helper out' on this video... but that's me being a stoned raver dancing at the traffic lights. Just a normal day at work.
25 years on, still fabulous!
Toni Halliday shaving and Alan McGhee catching a cab too 😂
The boo radleys are one o of the finest and important bands of the last 30 years
One of the best songs ever and yet 8000 something views, don't get it
Dunno last time i heard this tune was about something i was in the 90's...loved it
63k views now.
It will even out in time when the next generation realise their stuff was crap.
Passed the 100,000 mark, summer 2021. Still not enough.
boo Radleys very underated i miss them
Still brilliant . One of the best songs ever
superb music of the 90s...the acoustic version was a classic as well
Giant Steps is in my Top Ten of all time......and Ive been around for a long time...
Iconic 90's melodic indie showgaze still cool in 2020 lockdown.
The 12 inch version was much better than the album version, and the album version is great.
This is the 7" version. I like its brevity.
This song is phenomenal. Truly a hidden gem. They need to reform and start reaching a new generation.
I'm seeing them live tonight...
@@anophelesnow3957 I saw them live last night.
This first came out in '92, a good few years before embrace
Boo forever!!!
A favorite indie band
Remember seeing these at Glastonbury and this song, proper sticks out. #goodtimes #saygoodbyetoyourfreedom
Love this song . In my top 1 . Always
A new album soon?? ooohhh, what a great new!!!!!
tune love it
I still love it
love this
Have loved this track since it came out, bought the single, have the remix CD, but today is the first time I've ever seen the video! Does anyone know the full cast? Aside from the band, there's Alan McGee, Toni Halliday from Curve (perhaps with Alan Moulder), Darren Emerson from Underworld, but a few others I don't recognise.
Giant Step....un album grandiose❤️❤️❤️
Great video & song!
Yay, Toni Halliday!
+Brooke Roney
Yeah gotta love a bit of Spandau !!
@@Flappatackle Ummm, wrong Tony there pal....
did i just troll myself?
@@captainfeedback1 Well duh...
@@Flappatackle yep... brain dead halfway through a day's work...
Great.
So glad they grafted the intro on...
1:06 - Is that the beautiful Toni Halliday from Curve ?
Is that Alan McGee in the cab?
yep it's him
PrinceZappa It's not Alan McGee, just another redheaded guy.
It's Dave from blur)
First time I've seen the video. Was it directed by Benny Hill when drunk? Amazing song though.
Wow, Mr. SICE actually had hair :)
Grandiosa
Please make this available in the US so I don't have to use a VPN!
👍👍👍👍
1:05 Toni Halliday from Curve (and Alan Moulder?)
Oh, youth
When I heard this I thought it was a porcupine tree (stupid dream - deadwing era) song.
Even better than Fake Taxi!!!
Much prefer the 7 inch version (heard here)...Solid, Sharp, Sweet.
1:23 - Who is that Christina Ricci lookalike with Alan Mc Gee ??
As good as anything the Beatles ever wrote
oh sorry, thought you said the Boo's ripped off embrace, my bad!
the boos single-handedly inventing skagaze
Jenna Coleman, right?
they cut the clash style intro
zuck, it s macgee :))
The Velvet Underground sound a bit like the Boo Radley here.
Sice looked great with that receding hair. The fully bald look didnt suit him.
Horn section ripped off by Embrace for "All you good good people".
Not really, they just use some kind of similar horns once as a kind of bridge in that tired trudged tune. These are distorted and are signature hook of the tune.
Wasn't this tune earlier?!
This song came out when Embrace were 10 year olds, sitting around in their underpants playing Nintendo.
