Haha but not really. He shouldve just complied with the cops and gave them the right information. Either way he was going to get arrested.
How did you come to that conclusion?
Dylan Peterson he had warrant's under his real name. So now he will have some new charges. For giving false information.
My question is, how can you not have any proof of your name? School ID, DL, bank card, CC, library card, CCW, military ID, Sam's club card, fishing license and a bunch of receipts. That's all what I found in my wallet.
I was getting at the fact that the original commenter along with others conveniently forgot he got arrested for something OTHER than not having a facebook. Lying about his name, warrants, whatever. Just definitely not because he didn't have a facebook.

@@malachiwalsh1641 That's rich my friend, if you don't think officer's will lie to you. You are in for a world of hate.
@@malachiwalsh1641 Actually police are encouraged to lie in order to make people talk, which often leads to people digging their own graves. Be polite, but you don't need to answer questions and you can deny consent to search. Police dogs can only hit on cars for a search, not your persons.
@@user-zm7yd5ij4w I should also mention that even if you're being detained that still is not reasonable suspicion to be searched. If this guy knew his rights he could've walked free.
J
Also, if he knew he didn't do anything wrong, he could've complied and gone about his day, IF he really didn't do anything wrong.
It doesn’t matter if he was doing anything you don’t have to provide identification unless you are suspected of committing a crime thus far he can’t be detained. Technically the cops are wrong in this for heckling and using their means to “protect the constitution” which they don’t do in the first place.
mr. rewind
Suspicious Activity thus being detianed, thus leading to questions and later finding out he has a warrant and get arrested.
Know your Laws rather than rights, because most times in this situation, knowing what you did wrong or right is more important than shouting your right
Universal Gaming Na bro he doesn’t have to answer their questions at all nor give his name. He can just walk away because “suspicous activity” isn’t a crime brah
Notpureftw
Are you in any Criminal Justice and Law classes? No, okay then, so don't tell me Suspicious Activity isn't a crime, which is actually true, but detaining someone for S.A. can either lead to the labeled suspect being set free OR get asked questioned and possibly be arrested and sent off.
I also don't take people serious when talking about situations and law when you have people like yourself saying "Brah".

that is a smart move by the officers.
conceptcs how
Billy Smith when the cop asked the suspect when he took the photo.
Very illegal as well
I doubt that's an illegal technique but I could be wrong. I mean they're allowed to lie when interrogating you at the station, they're allowed to say that your buddy snitched on you even if he didn't in order to try to get you to snitch on HIM. And they'll do the same thing with him in regards to you as well. Using deceit and lies to get more information towards the truth I just have a feeling isn't illegal but then again I am not a lawyer or a criminal justice major either. Because it's legal in other interrogative fashions though I think it's fair game. And yeah it was pretty smart I agree ... especially if it is a legal, fair move after all.
It’s completely legal for cops to lie like that

Yep, and it's not just cops, employers also use FB to look at potential hires.

Same
I've had one... 10 years ago.
Reason he asked for his FB was so he can fact check him on his name. I thought that was pretty obvious? Lol
thought I was the only one haha Facebook nothin but Drama No one needs lol
they never claimed that him not having a facebook was suspicious. they were just going to use it to see if he was lying about his name. the fact that he saw a police car and ran the other way, hesitated when saying his "own name", continued to lie about who he was even with contradicting photos being shown to him and lying about the date he was "already arrested" was the suspicious part.
One thing tweakers with warrants never do is stay up thinking of good lies to tell the cops.
“Yeah that’s good bleaching”
Dead💀💀
Cop: July 1st 2014?
Perp: Yea
Cop: Not even close dude lol
What's worse is that he was OBVIOUSLY making that date up to trap the guy in a lie and he walked into it.
Who else kept thinking of Travis Scott when the saw “Travis *****” 😂😂
I love how all the cops were laughing .
Never talk to the cops when they ask you anything on the fly....remember you have the right to remain silent anything you say can and will be held/used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney, if you can't afford one, one will be provided for you.
Or if you're not a criminal and you're not doing anything wrong just tell them your name... Makes a 2 minute stop into 20 minutes and a possible fun night in jail. Just don't break the law
Acting weird aint breaking the law
You also have a right to be sent to jail for impeding an investigation.
The fifth amendment only applies to court cases, it doesn’t apply to those questions. You have a right to remain silent when asked but police officers have the authority to arrest you for impeding an investigation if you’re suspected of a crime and decide that you’re not going to talk.
They’ll find out who you are either way. Cooperating is easiest because at least then the police will give you some leniency. Don’t encourage people to make bad decisions.
Easiest thing to do: don’t break the law and don’t act like you’re guilty of breaking the law. If police ask you for a name, give them your proper name. Lying to them will only add another charge to your docket once they find out you’re lying.
He's going to jail and he has a warrant either way but yeah, he's even dumber for opening his mouth and lying, just possibly adding another charge with the warrant.
It's only when you are arrested
2:55 i love how big that police officer is smiling while saying "your under arrest for lieing"😂
He just grabbed his arm and said who are you while laughing. That was my fav part
If he was smart he could of refused any questions suspicion is not a crime
thematt142 exactly
This dude had warrants why would you want him to just press on
Could have. Stay in school!
exactly, whats your name? no thank you, am iam detained or am i free togo? detained? what for? beein suspicous is not a reason, not willing to give your name on a stop while on foot isnt either (with a few exceptions). rinse and repeat after 2-3 times they let you go
This guy is obviously a scum bag, but in was thinking the same thing. Unless this is a stop and ID state.

*SWEET*
LOL
Terry Stops are amazing.
SoCal Transportation Spotter I know it's a shame that all the cop suckers on here are fine with people's rights being violated.
Never tell a cop who you are unless they can specifically articulate a crime that you have, are or are going to commit a crime. They can't just walk up and ask for your name because you have a backpack on.
They can't use "being suspicious" as cause for a stop. The courts have ruled that whats suspicious is different for each person. Whats suspicious to some is not for others. So the courts ruled that to prevent each person opinions, preferences or biases to be the basis for a stop.
i love america And if he wasn't afraid of the unconstitutional arrest for a fake crime, he never would have lied.
People need to learn their rights. Looking suspicious is not a crime. No crime=no need to id

This is a cop's number 1 line to arrest someone. "You look suspicious" that isn't a crime.
That was so smart to switch up the dates on him
its the oldest trick in the book.
Another trick I would use is to ask for their DOB and then later in the conversation I would ask how old they were. 9 times out of 10 it would catch them off guard and you can see them calculating in their head or they would just be wrong.

*than in most cases you'll be free to go, but if detained you comply and say "I INVOKE THE 5TH!" *than you shut the F*** up* don't saying ANYTHING.
This is your natural right. The 5th amendment. Always comply with the officer. Unless he/she is questioning you...
This is true. Also as soon as you're arrested you say nothing except you'd like to have a lawyer present. A simple "I really do respect you and I respect law enforcement but I don't answer any questions without a lawyer present. I'm sorry, I hope you understand" goes a really long way. Everything after that is "I understand, but I don't answer questions without a lawyer present"
Also, remember if you are in your home, you don't have to answer the door. No matter how hard they knock and yell "police open up!" etc there is no law that you have to go to the door and open it. Just stay inside and they will leave, they need a search warrant to enter unless you do something stupid like open the door for them voluntarily.
@@bobbywhite1645absolutely!! Thanks for sharing ✊👍👍
you have to present your identity when asked and if you don't have ID or refuse to show it and refuse to tell them your name DOB SSN etc... they can bring you into the station for fingerprints. also some states have statutes that makes it a crime to refuse identifying yourself to an officer....
the 5th amendment means you do not have to say anything that will self incriminate.
identifying yourself is not incriminating yourself so is not protected... so be smart and tell em who you are. lying about your identity is also a crime.
May be if you don't stir thier suspicion by dodging them in the first place

A Terry stop is a brief detention of a person by police on reasonable suspicion of involvement in criminal activity but short of probable cause to arrest.
Decades of case law have ruled that being evasive of police and trying to avoid them (switching direction the moment you see cops and going the opposite direction) constitutes "suspicious behavior."
Additionally, being on private property at midnight while carrying a backpack (Common time and appearance of people who break into cars) adds to the reasonable suspicion.
Dante Woods wrong.
