    I have a lot of leaf propogations on the go but many of them are 2 month old with lots of roots but no pups and I’m not sure what to do. All of them are from the same Echiveria mother plant but my leaf propogations from other succulents are rooting and producing pups.

    Do you have to wait for the soil to dry before misting the soil again?

      If doing that nethod,yes. But be careful to not over spray and rot them. I just place them on moist soil. All water will be drawn from that leaf

      You must be doing a bottom watering.
      How about if one sprays the leaves and then blow off the water settling on the leaves?will this work fine?

    Is it okay to use grow lights? Also, is there a better time of year to do this? I have more time in late fall and winter, but I do have a warm room with grow lights that are on a timer. Thank you for your excellent video. It is very easy to understand.

    • @SucculentsBox
      @SucculentsBox  10 месяцев назад +2

      Yes, you can use grow light as an alternative when your plant cannot get any sunlight naturally 😉

      @@craiggolden7072 Hi. Every succulent will have their own growing seasons, but normally in Spring and Summer, which are the best time for propagation. And yes, the place you live does really affect your plants, of course ☺

    So I have been unsuccessful in propagating from leaves. I place them on dry soil and then water. Seems nothing is happening. Do I need growth lights? I have them inside garage near window 4 indirect sunlight. These leaves end up drying up. Please advise

    Can you tell me how to mix the soil as I live on a mountain where it rains all the time

    • @SucculentsBox
      @SucculentsBox  6 месяцев назад

      Hi, normally we will mix the potting soil, sand, and perlite or pumice in the ratio - 2:2:1 for succulents. However, if you live in the humid area, you might test with the ratio of more perlite as it would help your soil mix more porous😉

    I did this with my succulent and there are now four new rosettes growing on either side of the original plant… am I supposed to cut them off and replant them or leave the to grow??

    • @SucculentsBox

      It depends on you. Separate and replant if you prefer to have individual plants or want to propagate more succulents

    I am not sure that misting leaves until roots are develop is a good idea, other videos on RUclips say against that

    I received my subscription order yesterday and I was disappointed on how things seemed they were thrown in there. I also received an order from Etsy for succulents as well and when comparing.. you can tell they packaged the order with care. The succulent also had “wounds/scars” from where it looks like it was previously damaged..
    Please talk with your packaging staff and do a quality control check.

      @@chanchan172 Okay so now patience is key Check soil, environment and leaf orientation again. Some succulent take longer than others to produce new plants from leaf cuttings. So if leaves are still alive and producing roots, there is a good chance they will eventually generate new growth.

    I wish my gf was a plant girl... she's not allowed to even look at my plants. Even if they are wilting. 100% black thumb on her... gave her an "unkillable" plant and it was somehow dead in 5 days... I swear she uses salt water. But she does like my plants.
