Poehler is ridiculously good in this skit. And Hammond, who pretty much NEVER breaks was in stitches because of her performance. She was just so damned good on SNL

Darrell Hammond was hired specifically because of his ability to impersonate and he was indispensable the 14 years he was on the show. I feel like he was very under appreciated during his run.

I'm not at all trying to argue with you. I'm just trying to understand what it is about Trump that has so many people so enamored by him, still? Do you really think he is the best candidate now that 5 months have passed since your comment? I've tried asking some other people that blindly follow him, although they are extremely biased due to the only sources of information / "news" that they adhere to and don't seem to understand that a President, at the very least, should set an example and uphold the law, be truthful and be able to control themselves in more than one way. well, i don't know whether it was on purpose or not but calling somebody "king midas" is actually calling somebody "dumbfuck". in greek mythology king midas was an archetype of a greedy and stupid asshole. his persona was always a point of ridicule for ancient greek philosophers and artists.
but donald trump seemed to enjoyed that term. so, no harm done.
"King Midas" was /is used for his ability to turn everything he touched into pure gold, so of course he enjoyed the term. Although, I think "dumbfuck" is much more fitting and accurate.
