      @@HeyWorshipLeader I do! I've had it for almost a year now but I'm still struggling with concepts like input impedance, volume drop at the fx loop or having the the volume for all presets. Anyway, I do use it with other pedals. Most commonly, a compressor and a fuzz in front and a looper in the fx loop for home practice.

    The whole video is amazing but I Just loved the very last part, very cinematic and realistic
    Just got myself an HX Effects lately, I need to experiment the plateaux + shimmer combination
    Thanks again

    Thanks for this. I kind of gave up on shimmer and I just use my rv6 in the effects loop

      Yeah, I haven't been using shimmer much either, but messing with it on my Revelation made me want to see if the Stomp could do it.

    My favorite way to use this reverb is just with the pitch mix off and a decent amount of modulation. It’s similar to the Rv5 modulate in darker settings IMO.

    I find this reverb sounds absolutely INCREDIBLE with the octave mix at 20% and the predelay around 150ms. Put the decay at 9.0 with the above and it’s incredible

    • @isaacwilliams153
      @isaacwilliams153 3 года назад +3

      To add to my op, I find that shimmer is only useful in a contemporary worship setting when it’s low in the mix, putting the pitch mix around 20% reminds me of the shimmer on my old bigsky, pre helix

    If I use IRs instead of cabs would I still be able to put effects in between the amp and IR?

    • @HeyWorshipLeader
      @HeyWorshipLeader  3 года назад

      Yes! An Impulse Response is basically the captured sound from a real cab that's mic'd up in a room. So they act the same functionally in your signal chain.
      Hope that helps.

    Hey Jimmy, I’ve been researching the HX Stomp and I was all for it until I found out it only has 6 Blocks, I heard that in 3.0 update they will add 2 extra blocks(maybe true, maybe rumor) but my question is, is 6 blocks enough?

    • @HeyWorshipLeader
      @HeyWorshipLeader  3 года назад

      Yes, the rumor I think has been fact checked. But no one knows when it will drop. But 6 blocks can be enough for sure if you get creative. But then again, I knew I'd want a compressor on pretty much all the time, so I got an external to save a block. But I don't know if that's necessary. I really just like having a board to play with! haha

    • @TheCodeMonk
      @TheCodeMonk 3 года назад

      I was worried about that too, but found it enough for 90% of things. I also save some blocks with external pedals for things I know I'll like almost all the time. I justified the purchase with the fact that this allows me to test things l like the Timmy, Klon Centaru, various amps, etc all in one box and that gives me a lot of creative freedom for a lot cheaper than buying all of those pedals.
      Plus, if you buy it used, you can probably sell it for close to the same price when you upgrade if you find you need more blocks.

    • @davidbourne4912
      @davidbourne4912 3 года назад

      It depends what you want to do. You can't tweak things infinitely like you can on the bigger helix units, but its great for plug and play with good flexibility. If you want to run heaps of effects you can, though you have to get creative sometimes. Most of the time i play with an amp and cab, boost, delay, reverb and a modulation. Sometimes I double up on a reverb or amp model. Rarely do I find the blocks limiting. However, don't expect to run dual amps with a delay a reverb and a boost, you'll find settings grey out because the DSP is used up.
      I think it's the perfect small helix unit, and I use it as an all in one rig. Sometimes i wish i had the bigger helix, but when I see its price and look at my stomp I'm extremely happy

    Hey man, can you actually load in your own impulse responses into the reverb, in the impulse response section?

    • @HeyWorshipLeader
