Have we told you the one where Carrie called Kayne West, CANE? To his face? At an Art fair? True Story.
You see, sometimes slightly odd things happen at Art fairs because frankly they can be a bit well… odd themselves. The big art fairs (Frieze, Basel, Armory) aspire to be more like Fashion Week than your average trade show. You know, part of the cultural calendar, cool.
But in fact, with its cavernous halls of identikit booths - and lack of any atmosphere to speak of - the Art Fair really aren’t that glamorous. They are basically global warehouses and like any other trade fair, companies, in this case, galleries, are there to SELL.
