      Aah, it’s so sad that working class folks cannot afford to fly to another country for the weekend. Maybe their budget expectations are a tad too high. Maybe a staycation is in order.😂😂

    I found the online booking system for Home Affairs a breeze. Made an appointment online, arrived on the day and did not have to stand in any queue. Photos were done inside and I was out within 30 minutes for both the ID card and new passport. Within 2 weeks I received an sms to go and collect both !

      That wasn't really set up in 2019, or maybe they were just starting with it. I don't remember it being an option. I'm glad it's working!!

      I hear your concerns about the impact of more people moving to Ireland. It's important to respect the perspectives of those who currently live in a country and value its unique qualities. If you have any suggestions on how to balance welcoming newcomers while preserving the essence of Ireland, I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thank you for sharing your perspective.

      @@impromptuimmigrants I'm a UK citizen and moved to Ireland over 20 years ago. Its GREAT country but as as you know its become so expensive with a terrible housing shortage. I think thats why people are being warned off coming here for those reasons . However its still a great place if you can get settled and just avoid Dublin ( VERY $$$) . Thank you for coming here you are so welcome as are the many others who have made it their home :)

    Hi, Bronwen, like your videos. I have family staying in Co Wexford (Gorey) I am a EU passport holder and we were in Ireland in 2016 for a year but a good work opportunity brought us back to SA. The same Job has now gone global and we are going back to Ireland in the next 12 months. I would like to know about the need for an Unabridged marriage cert? We used the normal one last time round for my wife;s stamp 4. Did that change that you now need an Unabridged marriage cert. Thanks Maurice

      @impromptuimmigrants  5 месяцев назад

      Sorry for the late reply! As far as I understand the unabridged marriage cert is needed for when you want to naturalise as an Irish citizen. Also I was asked for it at the irish border... I suppose it all depends who you get at customs sometimes.

His words- "I've never seen anything like this rain in Ireland, it's biblical." Seriously this is the first dry weekend we have had in months.
