i now have 4 of the Jensen 12s in a sealed enclosure. the amp puts out about 250rms per sub. its very loud and clean. i have maybe 280 in everything.
You can wire them lil razors at 1 ohm all day too. Just can't dyno at 1 ohm. But with rise on speakers those things handle it pretty well!
They might actually handle 1 resistive but for how long ! Seen one dyno’d low 👊🏼👊🏼
At Ultimate Electronics in des moines iowa in 94 or 95 they had a contest and at the time all i had wasva 4 door 86 ford escort hatchback with an Alpine 7915 deadhead cd player going into a Precision Power (budget line)"Sedona" series 60 watt x 4 and front channels were MB Quart 5 1/4 separates in the front doors with drivers mid hooked out of phase (which actually put the soundstage at dash level instead of lower) and the sub was an older from 1991 JL Audio 12w5 dual 8 ohm coils with around 150 to 180 watts to it and at the floor it did 134.4 db And i impressed the JL Audio rep that was there because in the sound quality/rta contest i got 34 out 40 with the radios treble at the max of +7, and the bass at -7 max. He couldnt believe it also because i didnt have time to build a new box so i made an adaptor plate for a box I had for a JL Audio 15w5 that was 3.5ft³ about 1.25 to 1.5 cu ft too big!

It wouldn't be Audible, meaning any gain you got you wouldn't notice. Replacing 1 sq sub with another sq sub isn't going to do anything, you may gain 1db if you go with an spl sub
For the same price as the compc you can do a gothic..

Nice demo but I feel like you cheated the $250 when you used a $380 JY NXT. I didn't see you power wiring price either which looked like 4awg which would add another $50.

You want budget and hits better than that jensen, buy a JBL 12 from best buy on black friday for 29.99. i bought 2 and put them on a sealed single cab box, I was BLOWN away on the sound of those SVC subs. I had 2 12 VD skar subs before and they were GARBAGE. these JBL subs run circles on them and theyre only 250rms each, when the VD skars where 800 rms i believe each.
