I bought the exact box and speaker from a local pawn shop. $25 sounded like trash. Took the speaker out found it was fine. took the back panel off and put caulk on every seam. and also put gorilla glue on the back panel. let it dry over night and it sounds 125% better.
A 70 dollar bass starter kit can't beat that and it probably sounds pretty good 😊 keep'em coming I'll keep watching from Cincinnati

Great video. I always like to use clear silicone to fill the air gaps and I use speaker gasket to keep those keep terminals from leaking air (as much as one can anyways)
Gotta say those terminals are just bad - giant holes in the middle of it lol 😂
Just gonna seal it with some E6000 so it’s fully sealed

I really wanna see Part 3, how it performs. I am looking to outfit 3 old Volvos w/ audio system that is better than stock/broken, but I drive them so rarely that do not see purpose of installing high end equipment. Just good enough on budget x3.
Looks like the sub is double stitched and not a bad sized surround. Keep the wattage reasonable and you might get some decent bass. Price is low so not out too much dough if it does blow. I might get one!

Are you going to be uploading part 3 of this? I can’t wait to see it as I’m a complete novice with this stuff but have just found the same pioneer amp, a woofer and 2x 2ohm 6x9 speakers for £60 2nd hand. I think I’ve had a bargain but don’t know what I’m doing 😂 so hoping to see a very similar setup working for you before I install mine next week ! I’m planning to use the 2x 6x9s as left / right channel and then bridge the sub. I may add a couple of extra back speakers in parallel in future but not sure there’s much need as it’s just for the cab of my van. Please upload soon ! 🤣

@@LivinLoudwithAndy I hope it comes out soon. Tried to do a youtube search for other budget car audio builds and there are none out there. Your videos are the only ones I found. I know car audio isn't the cheapest thing to upgrade on a car but it shouldn't be as expensive as it is nowdays. With so many older cars out there your videos give me hope that I don't have to break the bank when it comes to upgrading a sound system on a older car.

@@LivinLoudwithAndy but when the box says 1200 watts and you only put half of that amount of power to them and they burn up. That says a lot about the quality
