Geez! I got all teary-eyed when it showed Patrick and Jennifer dancing at the very end! May Patrick's legend live on in those that were an admirer of him and also of this movie. I'm 63 years old, and I've watched many movies and this is still my very favorite! I used to also have both cassette tapes of the movies soundtracks, but played them so much that I wore them out! 💜💚😂
My husband and I watched this show so often that when we went to a convention we did it we actually pulled off a dance like Patrick and Jennifer. Many photos were taken and I was stunned at how well we did. Once in a life time for me as I loved dancing from a little kid. And glad I did what I could as now I can barely walk. Bless my children as every dance we all went to they made sure Walk of Life was played out favourite jive tune.
This whole experience must have been so incredibly emotional for Jennifer. I can't help but come back to these videos every so often. I'm glad she won. She deserved to win. Patrick was smiling down on her through the whole experience.

This video is the best I have seen. These two are awesome together. She and Patrick were awesome together in the movie of Dirty dancing. I think Patrick would be very proud of her for taking her dancing to this level and for keeping it a part of her life. She and Derek are really great together. Still my favorite movie of all time. I've watched it over 300 times, wearing out two VH tapes, and then loving DVD's that don't wear out!! She was spectacular dancing on "Dancing With the Stars", especially after having been in such a bad accident and having metal parts put in her upper back during surgery. She had to get her surgeon's approval to be on the program. It's like she never forgot what Patrick taught her and took it one step further with Derek. Wow!!!

Sure...the routine was perfection. After all she was dancing with my favorite procision dancer on the show....but the sexualality of the pair's relationship was missing with Derrick....hence the meaning was lost.
The whole time I was watching that I just kept thinking "You can't say Jennifer Grey still doesn't have it." 20 + years since Dirty Dancing and watching her doing this makes it seem like it's been about 4 years or something. I'm truly amazed. I'm glad she and Derek won.

Wow, i would die to dance only one time with Jennifer...i remember the time the movie was played, it runs 21 days in our cinema and i had been there every single day, after the 15th visit the owner of the cinema has let me seen the film without paying...4 months after the movie i've made a dancing lesson and we learned the final dance, too. my girl friend and and i trained the lift figure in our lokal swimming bath and a little later we showed the dance in a ball of my shooting club, my first public appearance.... had been amazing and we showed the lift figure....😍😄

wow Jennifer Grey is in excellent physical condition ! and is an excellent dancer and athlete ! This is 20 years after dancing with Patrick...Dancing is just as hard as being in the Olympics and at 57 years old showing so much physical strength... That's amazing !
She had two (one she wanted that was botched, and a second one to fix the first). I imagine she did it like most actresses, feeling like maybe they were being turned down for roles because of a flaw. It happens all the time. Mainly with teeth, everybody gets veneers. But the irony is that exact thing happened because of the nosejob. Not being hired because you don't look recognizable anymore (in an era where it was about marketable "teen stars" even if they were not even teenagers). At the end of the day, either way she's not ugly. She just looks like everybody else now. Which I guess is what people want.

I am glad I watched this, I dance when I'm on my own, its a way of releasing myself from any stresses. I wish I had done it for a career. I am glad Jennifer has found her confidence to dance again, she dances amazingly.

I was so blessed to meet and spend time with Patrick Swayze and his lovely wife. He had a wicked quick sense of humor and had some very funny jokes. I was, and remain a huge fan of his talent and feel Dirty Dancing has some of the best dance scenes ever!
I saw Dirty Dancing the first wk it was out in NYC. Everybody was sorta dancing outta the theatre when it was over. The music was as great as the dancing. It's one my favorite movies ever. It's a great memory. I had the time of my life!
Honestly got a little teary eyed during that free style dance. Just seeing so many of the same moves from the movie being brought back really tugged at my heart strings. They're both fantastic dancers!

Me too. You know why? Because when they were practicing that lift at one point he told her that she was going to hurt him unless she trusted him. Then when they did the first initial dance where she was to do the lift, she didn't because she didn't trust him. In the end her doing the lift showed that she had given herself up to him completely and was trusting that he wouldn't drop or hurt her.

I'll have to say, this was and still one of my favorite movies. Brings back such great memories.
I am glad I watched this, I dance when I'm on my own, its a way of releasing myself from any stresses. I wish I had done it for a career. I am glad Jennifer has found her confidence to dance again, she dances amazingly.
+Skilly Boechops Out of all of the comments I read here on this page I can relate most to yours - I too dance on my own, not just to release my stresses - but because I just love to (around my kitchen and lounge room) and I too wish I had done it for a career! My husband passed away 6 years ago but I pretend I am still dancing with him - we both loved to dance! I think Jennifer looks amazing and is just such a GOOD dancer! Don't laugh, but top of my "bucket list" is to dance with Derek Hough on The Ellen Show! Yeah, I know it's just a dream, it will never happen but a girl can dream, right?
This was wonderful to watch! Every dance was fantastic, and the shots with Patrick Swayze were just enough to elicit good memories of his movies without putting me into tears.
I know that “Dirty Dancing” is the best movie ever made. I have the tape and it is on my TV, I can watch it over & over. Patrick & Jennifer could never be replaced. RIP Patrick❤

Jennifer is just as beautiful today as she was back then. She has shown she can dance! Im glad she chose to not do the Time of my Life dance on this show, bc she is right, that dance was just meant for her and Patrick. Nobody could ever do it any better or with as much chemistry as Jennifer and Patrick did. Thank you for sharing this video bc I totally missed her being on the show.

I used to dance like this...Believe it or not ! (Just ask my partner...He'll tell you ! ) We had A LOT of fun every Saturday night...for years and years and years !

I was so blessed to meet and spend time with Patrick Swayze and his lovely wife. He had a wicked quick sense of humor and had some very funny jokes. I was, and remain a huge fan of his talent and feel Dirty Dancing has some of the best dance scenes ever!
They were superb. Congrats to Derek for the choreo. And JG for super skill.
Jennifer was in one of the best dance films of all time never danced for decades afterwards and then ended up on dancing with the stars. What a woman.
I saw Dirty Dancing the first wk it was out in NYC. Everybody was sorta dancing outta the theatre when it was over. The music was as great as the dancing. It's one my favorite movies ever. It's a great memory. I had the time of my life!

Honestly got a little teary eyed during that free style dance. Just seeing so many of the same moves from the movie being brought back really tugged at my heart strings. They're both fantastic dancers!

Patrick Swayze. All the women loved him and all of the guys wanted to be him. From Dirty Dancing to Roadhouse to Red Dawn to The Outsiders to the under rated Keeping Mum with Rowan Atchinson...miss you Patrick. RIP.
They really did have gorgeous lines. Derek got to bust out with more of his high-level professional form with her than he usually does.

My jaw dropped a number of times. The perfect coordination and execution of their moves looked natural rather than rehearsed. I agreed with Bruno when he said, "I wish I had an 11!"

Every time I see the final scene of this movie, it makes me cry. I'm a 54 year old man...what is wrong with me?
Me too. You know why? Because when they were practicing that lift at one point he told her that she was going to hurt him unless she trusted him. Then when they did the first initial dance where she was to do the lift, she didn't because she didn't trust him. In the end her doing the lift showed that she had given herself up to him completely and was trusting that he wouldn't drop or hurt her.
