this is amazingly innovative cover....i'm a huge Boards Of Canada fan and Dayvan is one i have on my iPod that i play dropping into a huge steep faces solo...looking forward to more from them...
Very well done guys! I don't know what that space Frisbee is but the guitar looks like a Gibson Kalamazoo I had when I was a kid, paid 200 bucks for it WITH a nice Fender Vibrolux Reverb amp, was good times yes.
One of my favourite tracks by BoC and you almost nailed it. All i can give for you guys it's a pressing "like" button and a lot of views. Amazing guitar and synths
Really nice done got my respect wy is boc not.making new stuff they are on hold or some sucks gus there arent many artist wich come to the level of boc i think even none u guys do a good job to keep boc alive.
It's a Mune! (www.munemusic.com) - currently not available for purchase but we hope to do a small production run eventually. You can sign up on our site if you'd like a notification then.
Thanks! Actually, we used a bunch of effects in Ableton Live: Filter Delay, Overdrive, Dynamic Tube and Lo-Hi Shelf Filter (modulated to get a sweeping effect).
@@scottastevenson BIG thanks for this comment. But what instruments in ableton are you using to get that wind whooshing effect with the Mune? All the ambient sounding stuff besides the guitars. Adds so much!
Hmm - I no longer have the Ableton set within easy reach, but I believe the main whooshing sound was a wind/white noise style sample plus a highpass filter where i was modulating the frequency! Cheers
Thanks! Yes the Mune sequenced the beat via Midi, but honestly we had to do a little post-production to sync it as this prototype did not have any sort of Midi clock syncing capability!
Sweet!! And Scott I just saw on your Twitter that you like Donkey Kong Country 3! Do you like David Wise, the Donkey Kong Country trilogy's composer? Stickerbrush Symphony, Forest Interlude, Fear Factory, etc.! I actually just played DKC 3 for the first time the other day My other favorite SNES songs are Super Castlevania IV OST: Stage 1 Theme of Simon Belmont and Contra 3: The Alien Wars - Neo Kobe Steel Factory. What about you? Any personal notables?
I love David Wise and the DKC soundtracks, they're some of my favourites! Super Mario RPG and Chrono Trigger would have to be a couple of my other favourite SNES games soundtracks
Out of all the covers I've seen, definitely the one that best captures the atmosphere of the original.
Let's be honest, we all clicked just to see wtf is that guy holding

Awesome Gents!
Dude! How’d you get that Mune! That’s a beautiful instrument 😍😍
Where can I find the chords for the guitar on this song? Btw this performance is amazing
There are a number of guitar tabs online if you do a search! Unfortunately I can't remember the exact one that we used.
Cool thanks
Main chords are: A C G D, sometimes A C G D F#m
From Russia with love)) Good cover))
What guitar chords and why are they off camera?
Omg.. lyubimiy trek
Dude is playing the coffee table

Love too see
People on the same wavelength as me......
Amen!
Hey man, congrats for the cover, sounds so great!
What kind of pedal do you use for the first part on the guitar? Sounds so close to the original!

this came on autoplay and i thought it was the original haha
Can you cover 'Suckin on chili dog' next?
I wonder how many times I've viewed this video. Would you guys be willing to sell me one of your Mune prototypes?
Not gonna lie , I thought he was playing a pillow when I saw the thumbnail
Is this up for download?
Not currently but I'll see what we can do!
scottastevenson thank you!
@@scottastevenson I asked if this was up for download awhile ago, any luck?
Wonderful. The guitar tone in the first section is fantastic, how was it achieved?
I don't quite remember now! A bunch of Ableton effects... Overdrive, moving cutoff filter, delay... Maybe bit crushing?
@@scottastevenson I found an older comment with the signal chain, thanks!
yes, this is boards themselves ours is not a Self Image, reflectionening...

Just when I thought I knew all the weird instruments........
did the Mune trigger the beat as well? Nice cover guys!.
Thanks! Yes the Mune sequenced the beat via Midi, but honestly we had to do a little post-production to sync it as this prototype did not have any sort of Midi clock syncing capability!
Sweet!!

What’s with the lack of strumming from the guitar?
Doing a cover of Boards of Canada with a Board.
