Live performance, solo. There seems to have been some technical problems during the broadcast, which included audio dropouts, but they are momentary, and don't really interfere with the enjoyment of the song itself, IMHO. Видеоклипы
Jonathan's universe is a sanctuary for beleaguered souls.
As far as I know, Jonathan Richman is the most sincere and least cynical "rock star" still active. I've seen him live twice, in an intimate little club, and believe me, if you catch him onstage all by himself, you still get a wonderful show. Jonathan doesn't need a band in order to sing, play, dance, solo, or even put the guitar down and perform _a capella_. In fact, I liked that gig better than the second one, which was like this, with drums, organ, and stand-up bass.
What I can't seem to do is collect all his albums. I admit there's some filler material on his albums, but there's also *treasure galore* on each and every one.
I love this guy....he absolutely killed it with no band behind him....amazing song and performance.....
There is a band, dumbass.

This is the best rendition of the song.
