    Hello, I'm from Mexico City and really love your videos. I'm about to launch my candle store and it has been a very interesting journey. The wax I use is 100% Natural soy without any additives, so it is really soft and greasy. I have been testing several natural additives to achieve a harder texture and I think I have already discovered my perfect formula for these type of candles. Just wanted to share my experience. Thanks for sharing yours!

    Hi - loved watching your video. I wanted to try out candle making for therapeutic reasons. Seems really relaxing. I have silicone molds similar to yours. • @GlowedCandles
      @GlowedCandles  3 года назад

      Hello, I understand I find candle making very relaxing, almost like meditation. You are using a container wax meaning it is for candles in jar (scented candles) therefore it is not good for molded candles. A pillar wax will exist in various type (soy, paraffin..) but is formulated specifically for candle free standing or pillar (without a container). I hope this helps 😊

      I use plastic pitcher for unscented wax and metal pitchers for the scented candles as they are easier to clean with a heat gun (no risk of melting / Pouring Pitcher: amzn.to/3qpyoWZ). In both cases, I would strongly advise against putting them in the dishwasher.

      Eco wicks are cotton wick.
      The right wick will depend on the wax you are using and the side of the candle. The type of wax will determine the wick family, the diameter of the candle will help you pick the right size of wick.

    • @GlowedCandles
      @GlowedCandles  Год назад +2

      Hi Lizi,
      Amazing! Well done!!
      For sink holes you need to pour the additional wax slightly hotter to allow both to bind together.
      Regarding your « healthy » candle claim for you brand, be cautious with that as no candles are really natural. Soy is better than paraffin however soy production is not great for the environment. Make sure you can sustain your claims before you start the motions.
      I hope this helps.

      Bubbles are a normal occurrence so I wouldn’t worry too much as long as they are small and it is not dozen of them in each candles. The fog you are mentioning is called frosting it is most common for soy wax, it is usually due to your pouring temperature. So you should try testing different pouring temperature

      Hello,
      I pour candles every day mostly in the evening after my day job. If I have a lot of orders I pour twice a day before and after work.

      Ok, then your option with the leak is to use blue tack under your mold to stop the leak. The bubble mold are very thin and they are more likely to tear and leak than any other mold.
