I've been watching a bunch of guides with much flashier editing and intros but so far the most useful information has been the LT remap you suggest 😂

    great video!
i think back + Special is also heavy psycho blitz; I don't think you need to do the qcb input unless it's for a little extra damage?
if you want to spend a little meter, my go-to combo for assist mediums is: aM > aM > aM (OD flicker) > fwd Sp > (delay) qcb L
you have to delay slightly after the fwd Sp uppercut to be able to catch them with the light psycho blitz, but the timing isn't too crazy and it's good damage (2500). i've tried to juggle with M or H blitz, but they're too slow
my other favorite "trick" that helps close gaps is to throw a Light fireball while I'm across the screen, then immediately do a pair of psycho rushes. the fireball moves slowly enough that you can safely follow behind it. it connects right as you finish the second rush, and you're right on top of them. if they try to jump over it, you can do the uppercut out of the psycho rush. otherwise if they block/parry then you're right on top of it for a throw. Counter-fireball eats yours, so you just don't do the second psycho rush. the only thing that really punishes you is if they do some kind of Ex fireball, depending on the timing it might eat your fireball and then catch you before you can block.

2:55 I like to use Heavy Punch > OD flicker > Heavy flicker > then you have 3 options: Heavy flicker (to confirm into level 3), Heavy DP (max damage), or forward Heavy Punch (keeps you closer to your opponent if mid screen)
