      Welcome to Kodiak.
Be ready for Bear watching free from the road and even sometimes from your car 👏👏

Or as a kid in Nimitz Park in the mid 70s to late 90s standing at the bus stop in the fence line walking down the street. Dad had a size 12 shoe and his prints fit in the bear prints with 6 inches to spare.

Grew up on Kodiak as a CG brat (Nimitz Park) from 76-87. Good to see the drive out to Fossil Beach direction again. All those roads you drove on in the 80s were gravel, past Bells Flats the road was terrible with potholes. Lots of new homes between the Base and Bells flats, weird seeing it.
@0:42 to the right was the forrest us kids use to play in back in the day. Was called "the creek". During salmon spawning season we use to hand catch fish going up to the lake to spawn.
    Great place to grow up.
