  • Welcome to Kodiak Island, Alaska, home of the largest brown bears in the world. We spent 10 days on this incredible island filming and photographing as much wildlife and nature as we could find. Join us for this once-in-a-lifetime experience looking for Kodiak bears, sea otters, bald eagles, Sitka black-tailed deer, and many other creatures to film and photograph. We also found some time to take a play out of the bears' book and fish for our own salmon!

    As a 45 year resident of Alaska, including kodiak, I gave up years ago trying to explain kodiak, Alaska in general to folks who haven’t seen it or lived here. No place even compares! Real simple.😉👍

    I'm the guy who just left you a comment about your YNP video, suggesting a monopod for stills and a fluid-head tripod for the video camera. You suggested watching your latest video (this one). On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the best, this video is a borderline 11. I am so pleased to see such amazing technical and aesthetic improvements. I haven't checked to see if you've visited Glacier Nat'l Park (NW Montana). If not I can give you the insider's game on where to go: Mostly landscapes as wildlife is not Glacier's forte. But, this resplendent area has myriad waterfalls if that thematic angle interests you. Absolutely a meteoric ramp-up in the quality of your videos in just a few months!

    Tires: nice photography, great film. Who ever “loaned” you the car should be counseled on tire safety. That tire should have been tossed long ago. And, in Kodiak of all places. I’m surprised that tire held air even before the hole. When the tread wear indicators, “transverse bars of rubber”, are even with the tread, toss them. Happy Trails.

    • @kaydeandkatrina
      @kaydeandkatrina  Месяц назад

      Thank you! The car came from my mom's work, she had a traveling job up there for a few months. I harped on her about the tires when I first saw them! And to make things worse, the company only replaced the flat one and left the other 3 for whoever they gave that car to next 😬

      Thanks so much! There's really plenty of wildlife to be found all over Kodiak Island. The road system is quite limited compared to the size of the island but we never felt the need to leave the roads to find wildlife to film. Most of the bears were found along the highway or while fishing!
