  • Shirley Canyon is a scenic hike at Palisades Tahoe, Olympic Valley, in the Tahoe National Forest. It’s full of waterfalls - roaring in the spring and less so in the fall - and wildflowers, and provides a nice amount of shade. It’s a strenuous hike at high elevation, so be prepared! If you time it right, you’ll be rewarded with a free arial tram ride back down to the valley with stunning views of Lake Tahoe - be sure to verify that the tram will be operating before you start.
