Not a Bellarke video this time (soon, I promise). I just wanted to do a Pike video since a long time, because I think he's an interrested character. He did horrible things, that's true, but I tried to understand him (that's hard... And I still don't like him haha).
Anyway, I especially did this video for Michael Beach. He was adorable with me on Twitter when I had hard time so we can say it's a video "Thank you". I really hope he'll see this. He deserves to have his own video too.

This character made season 3 more thrilling. All those who say Pike deserved death are being children. All Main characters did as much horrible things as him, Clark did, Bellamy did ... Pike did what he believed was best for his people. He didn't hesitate, he was very strong and determined, i can't help but respect this guy .
" None of us are good guys " That's what these series are about, that's how war works and children who hate Pike for executing Lincoln should understand that message.
He has to be the best character hands down, his speeches would give me chills & he would just be funny sometimes . His aggressiveness was spot on, I think he could of won the war/ kill all the grounders if it was still the main priority (Alie) In season 3 he added a good feel to the 100.

Easily my favourite character on any t'v' show ever. I'm not being sarcastic. I don't care what anyone says. The guy was awesome.

I'm rewatching this serie & I completely understand Pike's actions,,,well he may have had his flaws but the intentions were pure. & Anyone who doesn't understand him is just biased or just didn't get his story right. All Pike got from grounders from the word go was "survival for the fittest, all they understood is blood",,,,It was always kill or be killed.,,,,& when they finally convinced him that the grounders this side were different than the ones he knew that they could trust a grounder friend (Echo) & he gave them a benefit of a doubt (let his guard down) they slaughtered more than 50% of the people he had protected the whole time his way,,,,,,he tried to trust them & they reminded him again why he should never let his guard down with grounders. As for killing the grounders there to protect them his reasoning was to strike first & not wait to be ambushed,,,,I'm not saying his decisions were right (especially killing Lincoln who had proved different from other grounders) but I'm just saying I understand his decisions,,,,everything he did,,,he did what he thought was best for his people. &* I think instead of killing him just like that they should have just showed him that people can be different,,,& taught him to do better.
I feel people never really consider Pike's action according to his point of view. He was by no means a bad leader. He did everything he did to save his people. Kane and Abbey are more responsible for the whole Pike situation if anything. I really feel that if Clark was there at the time, or if jaha was there and not chipped, they would have been able to prevent the whole thing, because so far, jaha and clark haver been the best leaders, jaha edging clark in experience and clark outdoing jaha in sheer strategic brilliance and unshakable conviction. From Pike's point of view, the 100 arrived on the ground and they were getting killed( he might have been in the know). Then he arrived with Farm Station in Azgeda territory, and the Ice Nation immediately descended on them with brutality, killing children and the like, the harsh reality caused Pike to harden, much like clark had to do in the earlier seasons. His leadership kept the Farm station alive and more like a military unit that had no love for the grounders, again much like the 100 in season 1, meaning he had no idea of the peace talks with the grounders something that the Ice Nation obviously never respected, you could even see how they treated some of the farm station captives as slaves. And even though when he arrived he was told about the peace between the grounders, he saw no evidence of it, the grounders, abandoned them at mount weather, they placed a bounty on clark's head for a stupid reason, and they even went as far as bombing more than half of his people at mount weather. from pike's point of view, all he saw was grounder oppression. And to be honest, he was right. The only reason clark and the main cast took the oppression is because they had seen the full grounder army, and knew it would be impossible to take the army, serving as a deterrent. But pike had not seen that army, so even he didn't have that. Next thing for him was seeing an army of 300 people surrounding them. Yes maybe they were there to protect them, but alliances were fragile, they could just as easily have been ordered to kill them, which in fact is what happened. Pike was not entirely wrong, it was just a case of the right thing at the wrong situation. He was clearly a smart and capable leader, and should have been kept on as the leader of the guards, with clark being the overall leader. He made logical decisions, unlike octavia who makes stupid decisions time after time, and gets passes for it because she's a main character. At least she has the excuse of being young, naive and raised under the ground, but i wonder how long that would be valid for. The character that is just unbelievable is octavia's mentor, Indra. An extremely incapable leader, hasn't been shown to be a good fighter, doesn't make any particularly bright decisions, combat-wise or situation wise. Her solution to everything is kill kill kill. I don't know why the character wasn't killed off. Frankly, it's scary that she and octavia are leading the bunker, lol even their first executive decision was to eliminate everyone that can operate the bunker and keep them alive. It was shocking really. she froths at the mouth with hate that it's sickening. So pike was just a leader of the times, Octavia on the other hand has been mudering people for no reason or stupid reason, and we're cool with that right? Overall, pike is a much better, character, person and leader than octavia or indra are. Pike lacked both positive experience from the grounders and knowledge on their prowress. Both of these contributed to his actions. All of his actions do suggest he wanted to protect his people. He lacked positive experience from the grounders because he had repeated watched his people die, much like the 100 from the first season, and landed in azgeda territory, people who from the looks of things never respected Lexa's truce, so he had repeatedly been met with violence, after meeting the arkadia group, he chose to take their word for it, and watched the grounders both decieve them and firebomb mount weather, most of which contained his people. At this point he saw that the truce was fragile and wasn't really protecting his people. Kane should have made an effort to involve him in what was going on, his plans for the future and the precedent that made them become allies to the grounders. Most of all Kane should have expressed to him the extent of the grounder army (because I believe not seeing that army also helped put pike in that false sense of security), because, when you really look at it, even though pike's actions played a big part, he was still right. If the grounder army sent to protect them had still been there when ontari took over they would have been sent in to slaughter the people of arkadia. Pike is still a better leader than the current idiots who lead the bunker Octavia, who knows only to blame people hypocritically for things she is also guilty of, and incessantly question and sometimes get in the way of people trying to save her (bellamy, clarke). And Indra, a person dominated by so much hatred, and bloodlust that she never seems to use her brain. I cannot understand how she became a leader of that village because its not for he brain, and certainly not for her battle prowress, because we have seen nothing to suggest she is even a decent fighter. She doesn't ever show anything impressive the few times she fights. For Christs sake she and octavia where about to open fire and massacre the ONLY FREAKING PEOPLE THAT COULD OPERATE AND MAINTAIN THE BUNKER THEY WANTED TO SPEND 5 YEARS IN. That is just a most basic example of how doomed people in that bunker shoulf logically be. Pike never did anything out of selfishness, ever decision was made out of a cold and calucating thought process. He treated the grounder as they were not as how kane was hoping they should be. It would have worked best if Clarke was the leader, because she is always able to make all the tough calls, and come up with brilliant strategies, Kane was the ambassador, he was very gifted in trying to get people to act amicably, and pike being the leader of the guard, because he was ruthless and able to lead and motivate the guard to do what will inevitably be needed to be done, given the grounder's base mentality. Pike's only mistake was not working together with kane to amicably send back the 300 men at their 'doorstep', but that was on kane for not bringing him entirely up to speed when he realized the people where getting on pike's side.
Pike was a hero, Kane is a FPOS, an evil traitor. All who don't agre are just stupid. However, actors wich play Kane and Abby are great actors. But I once and for all stand for CHANCELLOR PIKE, the rightful man, and the civilized side's champion.

One of the best characters in The 100. He was a good man and wanted the best for his people. He did what he had to and people hate him for it but not me. Lincoln was one of my favourites but he tried to get Pike killed so you can't really blame Pike for executing him.
He was a STRONG character with strong ambitions and a great eye for what it takes to survive on the ground, he was tough. He used propaganda, and strong speeches, I like his line “this land is ours now; fight back, and you will be greeted by death.” But he was tryna take charge too quick, and was doing entirely too much with them rules and killed Lincoln for some dumb shit
he is not a villain he did what any other character would have done almost every character in the show has done something worse in my opinion he should in most cases be the hero I was honestly rooting for him

I have tears in my eyes ok?! I dont know why. Maybe because I liked and unterstood Pike. His decisions. He didn't trust Grounders because THEY KILLED HIS PEOPLE: CHILDREN AND ADULTS! I know it was Azgeda but he didn't see any diffrence. And it's a shame that they killed Pike because this character was amazingly created.

Pike didn't trust grounders, and grounders had shown they couldn't be trusted, back in mount weather or with finn
Pike was also right in the sense that maybe a deal could have been made with the grounders, but that Arkadia needed to be self sufficient
Azgeda killed a lot of Farm station, but Trikru and the coalition killed a lot of Skaikru
Pike didn't hate grounders, he always showed that, he had no hate, took no pleasure, he even worked with a grounder when he thought he was saving Clarke, but he never saw the good side of the grounders (arguably neither had we then), he wanted to protect his people first and foremost, that's honor, it takes a lot of guts, he truly cared we can see that when he taught earth skills, he was a good man, and he was Arkadia's choice, he deserved better

Actually.. I kind of like Pike. I mean, if you think about it, he's just like Clarke. Someone who had to take care of his people, no matter what. To do that, he had to make hard decisions, but he never take any pleasure.

Charles Pike did many things wrong, but he was right about one thing that with Grounders on their property was dangerous. When Lexa was alive she wanted peace with The Ark people when Lexa was killed and with the new Commander that hate the Ark People and wanted them dead. If she got the Flame they will all be dead or put up a good fight.
Pike was a great character and didn't trust any of the Grounders and he was right they were all backstabbing each other's clans for their own benefits, only thing I didnt agree with was killing Lincoln and the 300 people in the village for no reason

you know ... until the last episode of season 3 I would have sworn to kill Pike with my own hands, but when I saw the scene where he saved Octavia's life, my heart took a bit of a stone out of it. Pike, and when Octavia killed him, I don't say I started crying, but I say I was sorry, although I will never forgive him for what he did to Lincoln.
I'm just saying he did what he thought best for his people by killing that army of Earthlings who went to protect them. But the others also did something terrible as much as he did. Clarke did it, Bellamy did it ... so in the end, I'm sorry he died, and in my opinion, he didn't deserve to die, even if he killed Lincoln, because he still saved Octavia's life. Don't insult me, it's just my thought that came to me during the last episode of the third season.
The thing. he amazes me more than this thought of mine is that Lincoln is my favorite character and I have immense feelings towards him and the actor, Ricky Whittle, I cannot describe the emotions I feel when I see him🥺💗

Season 3 was a treason of Lincoln's character.
In S1 and 2, he literally said he left the savages because they were making of him a monster. Because they started the war. Because they usually tortured peoples.
And suddenly, in S3, he "felt" deeply as a Trikru. Complete nonsense.
And everyone in the trators's side since to have forgot the grounders's treason on mt Weather's battle. LOL.
And even if. Even if Lexa was sincere, this means nothing, considering if she die, the new leader of those tattooed bastards would change their mind.
And, to ending, if dumbs considers Pike as racist, he lived in a racist violent world, and every clan of the savage grounders were also racists.
Consequently, "booh he's racist" is pointless.

Dear Carreyland, I wrote twice on your wall, and forgot to simply say thank you for being the one and only one to make a tribute to our great Hero. I hope you'll use your talent to create others vids (my fav characters are often the so-called "bad guys", like Cage Wallace, Murphy, Josephine, but I like also Clarke, Raven and few others. And why not a mix between all of them ? ♥♥ (don't know the alt code for the smiley with heart eyes, sorry^^)

I dont blame Pike for doing what he did. 80% of his people were massacred by grounders/ice nation and you just expect Pike to treat them like allies? Plus if he didn't take out those 300 warriors they probably would have marched on Arkadia as soon as the leader changed to that ice nation phsycotic woman, cant remember her name. Pike was just saving his people, I don't understand why he is so hated.
