@@ThisNorthernLife, thanks for the quick response. So you're saying, more like 3/8"long? Also, may I ask, what length staples you use? Good luck with your relocation, will you still have Quail and will you be doing more videos? I hope so, just found your channel. Thanks again.
@@jeannienutter3015 as soon as I get settled in I may. Depends on a lot of factors. Not trying to rush into anything. But no, 3/8” is plenty probably. You should be good to go. Depending on humidity. Just check the feed every now and then and make sure it isn’t sticky. I think I had 3/8” staples to 1/2”. That is the longest I could find when I was at the store.
It is an arrow pt50 possibly. Very nice little gun. When you have a lot of staples to shoot this is lightweight and faster than a battery operated. Think you can purchase these at Walmart actually.
Another one that works well is a narrow crown stapler. They are a little pricey because it’s a pneumatic gun, but if you do crafts like this frequently, you’ll probably get some good use out of it. Roughly $140 for a DeWalt narrow crown stapler.
I have never heard quail make those noises, they sound almost like doves.
Birds are such strange animals.
Now that you've been using it, how is it working? Is the 1/4" space for the food enough room? Great video, thanks for posting.
I would say my opening was too small. I sold it all and relocating as we speak so no updates. But I would have opened it up a tad more. Maybe 1/8”.

How big was the holes for them to feed out of??
I wish I could remember. Smaller the better though. 1.5” seems about right.
