For all the good it does to see Caterina still alive and safe... to have an arc about a betrayal in a guild of assassins end with either "forgive" or "imprison" is anticlimatic. Actually, it is kind of a disgrace. These are the freaking crows, where is the murder?
Well, Lucanis and Illario are the last of the Dellamorte, so killing one would make the other one bare the weight of the survival of the whole family on their shoulder. Caterina had 5 (I think) children and a number of grandkids and only Ilario and Lucanis survived, so it would make sense to have at least one spare. you know. Just in case. Like, imagine Ilario living with the thought he was spared only because of his blood.
I beat this game just this morning, and it's thanks to this channel, watching some of your playthrough in the beginning that got me interested in playing for myself. I enjoyed it for the most part, but I was using the Rogue. I remember this mission and not killing Illario either. Yeah, he's a traitorous little shit but he didn't actually kill Catarina, and everyone around me, including Lucanis, was like, "eh, he's family", so I spared him. Will probably kill him my next playthrough.
1:14:11 Funnily enough, as a bi person, I’m the opposite. I like seeing 2 bi people in a hetero-romantic relationship because I feel like way too often in media bi/pan characters are just treated/written as gay or lesbian. This is very prevalent in comic book media where almost every bi character is exclusively in homo-romantic relationships, and it feels like it’s not properly represented. I know preferences exist irl, but if you’re gonna make bi/pan characters only for them to solely date people the same sex as them, then just make them gay/lesbian.

Yeah, it's pretty weird that the same group that buys elven children to mold them into assassins is so... milquetoast.
I agree. There should have been a third option to kill him.

Caterina is our Grandmother from now on
Just read Tevinter Nights, you would know how bad she is.
