In the words of Snape: always.
2024
Yep, still going in 2024
Since 2000, at least! They have never NOT been amazing
Guster is like that special vacation place nobody knows of but you. They are you and you're glad they're something you can call your own.
I love this Kindle off muisic fiona Gunn .xxx xxx
kind of a hipster perspective
A real hidden treasure
basically what I think of every underrated af song.
I've never read anything with more truth. Spot on
The bassist vocally harmonizes soo nicely during the chorus!
Yeah... Luke Reynolds. They're really good.
B A S S
So good.... that kind of stuff elevates a song so much
I was thinking the same thing. That guy can really hold that note well
it might be my favorite part of the song - his voice during those parts - soooo good!
For those wondering, I did some research and found out the names of the string players: April Guthrie on cello, and Charlene Huang on the violin. You're welcome :)
Wyldone6984 did you do some research deep into the info listed underneath this video? 😂
@@JabezGill stalker, thanks though
@@JabezGill ok....did not see that lol but then others probably didn't either ;)
Thanks!! They were awesome and I was wondering who they were. Satellite is one of those songs that makes u stop to enjoy the harmonies the music I've been lucky enough to see them twice and they always do something great. This band is way underrated. Everyone's heard Amsterdam but don't know the name Guster lol
Thank u
It's 2019 and I'm 58 years old and I still love this band.
It's 2023, you're 61 and should go see them. They're touring now. Never miss an opportunity!
here's your gold star for being an age and listening to a song
It is 2023, I'm only 53, and finally saw Guster for the first time at Tanglewood. Great show!
Guster is one of the few bands that no matter what, always sounds better live. They are a rare gem in the music industry nonetheless
TuesdayNightLiveNet The Moody Blues were a bit like that. Great "in concert" band.
Tesla is another great band to see live.
toonster62 Tesla still brings it live
They were amazing live @pappyandharriots
It's the energy they bring live. It's always a spiritual experience.
2:40 that Violin player is brilliant!!! 💎
One of those songs that needs a "double like" button. Fantastic, flawless performance
👍🏾👍🏾
I totally agree with you.
As much as I enjoy the studio recording, I think this live version is actually superior. Such an awesome song!
Except for the vocal
Sometimes when I play this for my three-year old daughter, tears come to my eyes.
That was really impressive, bass players vocals are next level
Liam Gallagher i agree different music off topic korns bass is monumental as well.
I agree, I also think oasis is the best band ever!
Violin play is literally on another level. Perfectionist player.
Jesus Christ bassist absolutely murdered the vocals
Shining like a work of art,
Hanging on a wall of stars,
Are you what I think you are?
Youʻre my satellite,
Youʻre riding with me tonight,
Passenger side, lighting the night,
Always the first start I find,
Youʻre my satellite...
Elevator to the moon,
Whistling our favorite tune,
Trying to get a closer view...
Youʻre my satellite,
Youʻre riding with me tonight,
Passenger side, lighting the sky,
Always the first star that I find,
Youʻre my satellite
Maybe you will always be,
Just a little out of reach...
Youʻre my satellite,
Youʻre riding with me tonight,
Passenger side, lighting the sky,
Always the first star that I find,
Youʻre my satellite
Youʻre my satellite...
The violin is kick azz...thanks!!
Great band and sound! That violinist is awesome!
Pretty simple violin part to this. Nothing special.
@@horse5407 It's not about the simplicity or the complexity. It's how she beautifully executes the part. Her tone, her technique, her vibrato and flourishes make such a deceptively simple component of the song sound so sweet.
She really is!
The studio version doesn't sound like a violin.
I love everything about this song, but this live version , with the violinist... she fuckn kills it... oh my
WOW!!! That cello and the bass player's backup vocals belting it out.....gets me every time. I only discovered this band from a friend referal just the other day.....canNOT stop playing it! And I'm a metal fan! Relaxing, peaceful music like this is ALWAYS refreshing....ROCK ON GUSTER!!!
Awesome band.
Why aren't they more famous?
awesome bands are never famous sadly:(
Because they're better than fame
gorgeous song. Even better live
I've known this song for a very long time now. I don't know what compelled me to look up a video of you guys playing this live but man am I glad I looked this up. Amazing performance that arguably is more impressive than the studio version of this song.
This performance of this song...is basically like pitching a perfect game in baseball. Flawless!
this brought a tear to my eye last night, when I was standing 5ft away, and im a 28yr old man
2022 and still one of the best live performances of a song ever
That violin player is literally on a different level. Holy shit. Perfect on those strings.
The most beautiful song I've heard in a long time. I've been hooked on it for three years now.
Look at the way the Chello player smiles and looks at the violin player and when the little solo comes for the violin they all are looking and smiling at her. She's amazing
This reminds me of R.E.M, love it :D
Loving the Bass Player's vocal harmonies on the chorus!
The way the violin and the cello player are waving their heads watching the band is pretty much what this song stands for.
Sounds awesome with the violinist.👍🤘girl killed it😵
I could seriously listen to this all night. Maybe their best live version. Everything is on point-vocals, bass, incredible violinist. And, damn, that cello at 3:25. Other level
That violin player is something special! Hotter than Hell!!!
so underrated
2021 and I'm still obsessed with this performance.
'24 too
so underrated and a great song
How can a live performance go so flawless?
Been listening to Guster since 2004 on an old Nokia phone. I can't believe they sound this good on live. HOpefully I get to see them live before I pass away
This is a genius recording
One of the best triple-bill concerts my wife and I ever saw was Friday Aug. 9, 2002 at Portland's Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall -- The John Butler Trio, Guster and headliner John Mayer. Looking at the crowd that evening we may have been the oldest couple there at age 51.
it cant get better than this guys, this is real music.
This song never ceases to amaze me, its just too precious.
What a great performance 🎉
The violinists is on fleek very tight very good.
Love that bass player and back vocals! Well done dude!
This is a masterpiece.
But seriously the violinist at 2:19 to 2:40 Job well done!!
the cello chick seems to be enjoying the song.
I think my favorite part of this is how smitten the drummer is with the violinist ❤😊
I wish there was a word of higher caliber than "perfect" to describe this
HOLY FUCKING EARGASMIC SHIT
"...just a little out... of... reach..."
Everyone's having fun here, fantastic performance :-)
The guy in the jean jacket has amazing strong vocals! Goosebumps
I believe that he is/was the lead singer of Blue Merle
Was just at work an hour ago at Sam’s club. This song came on and I know I’ve heard it so many times before, now it came back to me and love this song. Gonna add it on my Spotify
Really learning to appreciate Guster
Is amazing, Only when you listen to music In acoustic or in live, you know, that the band is good.
FLAWLESS VICTORY.
what a good song
Saw this group on Daryl's House. This is a BRILLIANT cut of this beautiful song.
Why is it that the best bands hardly get noticed nowadays?
Great song. Love this acoustic version and especially the awesome 3 part harmony on the chorus. And the lady on violin rocks!! I am now a Guster fan -
Love the violin! :)
Still hands down one of the best live performances I've ever heard compared to the original song. WOW. Also just the best live song ever . They looked like they all knew tonight we sound fucking amazing.
i really like this song
one of the best song from Guster.. love it to the max.... 100000000000000000 thumbs up for this song!
If I were the Jolly Green Giant I would scoop up this band put them in my pocket and take them everywhere I go. Guster live acoustic on demand. Great vocals, unique sound, Guster nails it.
Manifest this & proceed to the East Coast please
Love this song violin is effin stupid good but this a great song
Doesn't get much better than that!
A group of very talented musicians just doing the thing they do best, just beautiful♥️
absolutely in love with this song.
I first heard this on a road trip in Oregon (coming up on Canon Beach) amazing song, beautiful part of the world. Cheers Guster this is a tip top tune =)
I live in OR and this song makes me feel like home ❤️
This song is my absolute favorite! What a gem.
Me and my Bestie's theme song! 💛⚡💛
I always liked this song from years ago but watching/hearing this live version makes it even more enjoyable. The background singer's harmony really catches my ear in a good way. Happy but melancholic.
You pretty much said what I would have said. ;) Discovered this song in about 2007-ish, listened to it nonstop. Then I found this one a while back and it was like, *WOW.*
This song is perfect!!
Damn these guys are pretty good live
Fantastic Sound & Composition.
Stupendous! Beautiful! Out standing in their field!
This is one of the best things I've ever heard
These guys have paid their dues and if you don't agree then f**k you. These guys are fucking awesome.
Love you guys, you don't even know how much.
I love the drummer's face at the end
STUNNING!!!
Every time i listen to this song i cry, idk why.

All I can say is wow!

Amazing live performance of a great song.
This version hits me on such an emotional level. It's beautiful...
I listen to this song everyday. It makes my heart happy.

they play this at the gym all the time it gets you going !
saw them do this last year with kishi bashi playing violin and harmonizing, that night seems like yesterday, and is still my favorite show ever. Even better than when I saw U2
relaxing music very underrated and there great
It's an extra kick to see how much they were enjoying playing and it was a flawless performance
Very nice song..reminds me of the song "Drifter" .
i am physically disabled by a car accident 18 years ago since then, music is my support, thanks :-)
Always liked this song a lot, nice to see a live version of it.
my favourite version of this song
That banjo run played in the chorus and the harmonies are what make this song.
got to be on alot of favorites list , gym quit playing it now there playing it at work fine with me !!!
