    "Hi, I’ve encountered a peculiar problem with my engine. To start the engine, I have to turn the ignition key on and off twice. During both instances, I need to wait for the fuel pump to cut off before the engine starts easily. Otherwise, the engine doesn’t run, especially when it’s cold.
    I have another question. When I suddenly accelerate the gas pedal to high RPM in first gear, the engine dies after reaching 170°F or higher. Which parameter should I adjust?"

    Should I set up the spark map to match the actual engine timing (I'm controlling the timing thru the distributor, no adders on the engine) and under engine setup injector flow it's set at 35.3 LBS. Should that number be the same as the injector 80 LBS for the 39610 3X2

    Can I install this to my fj40 with 2F engine? How much it will help with the fuel economy?

    Hi Jeremy , Im planning to purchase Fitech kit 70051 with trans control . My question is is paddle shift available with this kit ? Thanks

      The ultimate LS systems do not support the paddle shift feature.

    Which distributor would you recommend for timing control on an Oldsmobile 350 engine?

    • @FiTechEFImedia
      @FiTechEFImedia  3 месяца назад

      To use timing control a 2-wire magnetic pickup distributor is needed. It also needs to be locked out and phased.

    What would cause a low map reading/ fault? I've rebooted, reset to stock calibration, checked orange map gasket behind ecu, changed o2 sensor. My 600 ho easy street will not stay running. Help fitech!

    What should the map sensor read while the engine running…. Ultimate LS. 70004

    • @FiTechEFImedia
      @FiTechEFImedia  2 месяца назад

      That would be dependent on the Camshaft, key on engine off you should be around 100kpa.

      @@FiTechEFImedia mines reading from 86 -92 while the engine running

    • @FiTechEFImedia
      @FiTechEFImedia  2 месяца назад

      @@TheSqad874 Key on engine off you should have around 100 kPa and with the engine running it should drop to a lower value. The lower the MAP reading at idle the more engine vacuum you have(which is a good thing)
      If your vehicle is running rough, We suggest checking for vacuum leaks, inspect the wiring connections to ensure proper connection is made between the harness and sensor, Review your cam setting to ensure you are selecting the optimal setting for your engine set up.

    Please, I have looked everywhere for answers to these RPM related questions.
    1. ** Why are my actual RPMs so far off from what the unit says or thinks the RPMs should be at? (Driving at 2300rpm and Fitech says I should be at 1800).**
    2. Where does the Unit get its RPM table or data from?
    3. How do I fix or adjust the RPM data in the unit so that it is more in tune with my engines actual RPMs?
    1986 C30 Crew Cab Chevy
    Original Stock 454/Th400
    Fitech #30005
    The truck runs fine for the most part. I still have some tuning to do.
    Thanks for the help,
    John

    How do you lower the r p m's initial start up

    • @isingthebodyelectric1041

      The two handheld settings that come up the most for this issue are "CRANK IAC" and "Loop Rate Down". The first setting controls how far the Idle Air Control valve is opened while cranking the engine and the second setting controls how quickly the IAC valve can close in response to a higher rpm (in general, not just on startup).
      These two settings work fine for cold starts but, I bet your like me and want to tailor the rpms for hot starts... the problem however is I don't believe you can or at least I can't find it.
      Reducing "CRANK IAC" will help a little with hot-start flare ups if the setting was already set too high. Increasing "Loop Rate Down" will reduce the time of a hot-start flare up but, it won't eliminate it.
      I find this behavior most annoying when I turn off my engine in a restaurant drive-thru so I can place my order and then when I restart have to wait for the idle to come down before placing my automatic transmission in gear.
      I'm looking for hot restart behavior like on a carburetor, hit the key, put it in D... no rpm flare up.
      Restart straight to 750 instead of a slow decline from like 1200rpm.
