  • Do you want to make those really cool looking fire pit skulls? I'll show you how to make them safely on your own. Great for outdoor halloween parties and really for me, all year round with my haunter friends. Be sure to only use "Refractory Cement" as you cannot and should not use any Portland cement for fire pit skulls, it's dangerous to use. Again, only purchase or order Refractory Cement as it is rated for high heat, up to 2200 degrees. It's typically used to build or repair fireplaces, making pizza ovens and anything to do with fire. You can find Refractory cement at Lowe's or Home Depot and if not in stock you can order online. Please feel free to ask any questions and a like is always appreciated. Happy Haunting my friends!!

    FYI - I got skulls from Monster Makers (full skull) and one 25lb bucket of refractory cement (same brand as above) made basically 3 skulls. This was with a solo cup put inside so I could drill out holes for eyes/nose. So count on making two full skulls with one 25lb bucket to be safe.

    I wonder why one couldnt simply place the plastic filled skulls in the fire and let the flames vaporize the plastic?

    I love these!!! Do you think it would be possible to do the balloon method (fill a balloon with gravel for weight and add a little water. Cover the balloon in Vaseline to help it release. Then use hammer to break thin inconspicuous area and pop balloon to remove- leaving the inside hollow) that would cut down on cost as well as weight and make it possible for flame to glow through eyes. 🤷🤔🧐

    • @ooddities
      @ooddities  2 года назад

      Maybe but the balloon would have to be super thick, not thin, it would totally pop. Good luck!!

    Where can I get the molds required to make these refractory skulls? This would help immensely!

    Why not just burn the plastic off. And I wonder how hard it would be to put a pipe down the center. to reduce weight and possibly drill out eyes and nose. Thank you for your video

    These turned out awesome. The plastic skulls really surprised me, turned out better than expected. I wonder if heating the plastic skulls with a hair dryer or heat gun would help them peel away from the cement.

      Thanks for the awesome comment. 💀. That’s a great idea, I found some dollar store skulls that would be nice to use around the larger skulls. I can’t wait to make more, I might even show this in a class at the TX haunters convention this year. Again, your channel rocks!!
